Thinking about this. So many people in the US are adult children
all the people in the replies going "But what about people who want to make art for kids?" as if creating specifically for children requires somehow less effort. the ability to engage with complicated concepts, in order to simplify them to a younger audience is what makes a good children's media creator — and to do that you have to interact with them with the intricacy and nuance that media for adults has to offer, you have to be able to stomach non-fiction, and you have to be able to aesthetically draw from things outside of "how the TV looked when I was 12"
if not, you're making slightly prettier spider-man elsa slop and I, Personally think children deserve better.
