I remember the first time I saw you on TV. It was in Monte Carlo, 4 years ago. I really didn’t know in that moment, how much you would mean to me. I really didn’t know. And then, I saw you again on arrow, thanks to my sister (because she begged me like, literally, half of a year). And so, when I saw you, I swear, it was love at first sight. Not just for your incredible acting, but for what laurel lance represents. Suffering, Pain, bitterness. But also, desire to succeed, strength and most of all, fight. Because she has been through a lot, for a bunch of years, but she rose from the ashes, she got up, without surrender, because she had a lot of fight left in her. And you knew exactly how to make this real, you knew how to inspire people, and i will never be able to express with words how thankful i am for the justice you’ve made with a character, that represents improvement in all the ways. Laurel Lance has been a part of my life for a whole year, she has been the hero I needed in my life, but thanks to arrow, I met another hero, without mask and leather jacket. You.  You’re amazing Katie, inside and out. And you’ve shown it to us everyday, with your hilarious personality, with your crazy dances  feeling like Taylor swift, with the love that you express talking about your character, with your indifference to criticism, and with the kindness you show to every fan, without knowing us. Since Laurel was dealing with so much crap and some people didn't understand her struggle...that was the time I'd caught her for me and the same time I really realized how amazing is your job. Since this, I'd search more for your personal life and career. The more people hate on Laurel Lance, the more I love her and your work, this consequently brought me to admire you and things you've done before. I've been a Katie Cassidy fan since the day she stepped on my screen as Ruby in Supernatural. Every year I'm given more reasons to be proud of being her fan when I remember, "Hey, today is Katie Cassidy's birthday", and this year I have even more pride than ever. Not only am I amazed by her on a weekly basis on Arrow, but with everything she puts into that character and show, and into who she is away from it with charity and awareness and being just a good person on a day to day basis. In my time of being a fan I've seen a precious young girl turn into a badass, fierce woman who is beautiful inside and out. Happy birthday, Katie!
