Running
It’s been nice out this week, so I decided to take advantage of the good weather and go running.
Well, I am not NEARLY as in shape as I used to be. I was so out of breath and had to walk about half the distance. I definitely need to start running more! It’s a great way to stay active, and I actually enjoy doing it. I hate treadmills, so when I get back to school I can use the indoor track when it’s cold out. I’m actually excited to start running more!

Butternut squash, black beans, and brown rice on top of a bed of spinach, drizzled with olive oil and white balsamic vinegar
Lunch yesterday was brown rice and veggies (brussels sprouts, green beans, snap peas) with Parmesan cheese.
Update on my life
It’s been about a year since I’ve used this blog, but I’m ready to start using it again because it’s a great way to stay motivated and track my progress.
I’m here to work on self improvement. I do want to lose some weight, but really I jut want to eat a healthy diet and make exercise part of my daily routine. I am a vegetarian, so I am trying to eat a more plant-based diet with sources of protein other than meat. I am very into yoga and try to practice it every day. I want to start running and weight training because I want to lose fat and gain lean muscle.
I am about to enter my last semester of college. I recently changed my major from Dietetics to Food Service & Restaurant Administration and I am so happy. I am still passionate about nutrition (of course), but the major wasn’t for me and I’m glad I switched. My new major makes me happy and I am excited for my future career.
I know 2018 is gonna be an awesome year because I’m gonna make it one! I am motivated, goal-oriented, and excited to achieve great things.

Ugh. High calorie count AGAIN. And my friend and I went to dinner and I said I was gonna eat healthy, and just totally gave up on that when the server came to take our order. I did get a full workout in today, but I’m still annoyed with myself for overeating. I’m not losing weight and I am frustrated.

GODDAMNIT. I ate healthy all day, and then binge-ate while I was studying. I was unconsciously shoveling Cheerios into my mouth, and then by the time I realized I had eaten way too much, half of the FAMILY SIZE bag was gone. I am so upset with myself.

Definitely more calories than necessary. I worked out for only 10 minutes today, but I am honestly proud of even that because it was my first real workout in while. I’m not eating unhealthy food, which is good, but I still feel like I am eating too much.
