Raiding Cascade

Yet another experimental remix of my slow piano-dnb-electronica piece, with the bassline slightly messier (I am bad at piano) and the EQ as high as it goes without making crunchy noises in my speakers. I was also testing out some new software that I still don't understand.

I haven't put this on my Youtube because I don't want tons of remixes of the same track :) as much as I like them.

This is a long shot (desperate) but does anyone know how to get a GQ GMC 600+ to connect to Wifi? I've done- -Wifi ON

-SSID set

-Password set

and it's doing absolutely nothing. I must be missing something. I know how to manage Data Logger but the counter surely needs to establish a connection first?

Edit- I am very sorry to waste your time. I fixed it shortly after posting this (3 minutes).

Here's how to do it;

Menu- Wifi- SSID (the name your hub/router assigns when you see connected on your PC/device usually) - Password. Please note these entries are VERY annoying to type out. It's like typing on a Nokia 3310.

Once those two are set go to Server in the upper menu. Find your account ID on GMCMap website (your account profile) and copy your account ID into that. Go to manage your geiger counters and find the device code, it is much longer than your account ID and more annoying to type. Once this is all added, go back to Wifi and turn it on. It should auto-connect if everything is correct. Mine failed first time because my hub password was wrong.

Uraninite with iron-coloured crystalline base and flecks of a yellow-gold iridescent mineral. It looks a lot more pink outside of the microscope. It has a small scattering of botryoidal structures in the black surface area.

166,000cpm

"Pinky"

I bought another piece of Uraninite this week. It has a beautiful pink-orange hue and tiny flecks of gold at the edges. I have lovingly named this rock Pinky, and it's just slightly less spicy than my last purchase, Hot Slice, at 166,000cpm (Hot Slice was 200,000-300,000 but it maxxed my counter out).

I will get a better picture when I get my containment chamber out because this rock is super flaky and crumbly!

Extremely sick again and had another high-fever nightmare where I was straight up eating batteries. Now I know how it feels to swallow them. They get stuck kinda. Also got a really nasty cut on my arm by sticking it inside a mysterious industrial machine just to see what it did.

none of this is real btw, for any concerned. I am just unwell and feverish and have hella nightmares.

I picked up a really cheap DS Lite today :) It's a bit tired and has broken and missing parts (dust cover gone) but I managed to fix its faulty D-Pad as soon as I got home. Just waiting on a new battery, plus a replacement dust cover and I can keep this little thing going again for many more years.

This "5G protection" card was part of my big Aliexpress danger haul, but got misplaced somewhere. I recently found it (was the source of a mystery elevated background reading for a few months!!) and had the time to measure a few things.

The first thing I noticed was how badly the inside of the silver foil bag that it came in smelled, it was like an intensely farty, musty acidic odour. Lead acetate came back negative for sulphur compounds so I'm not sure what is causing that awful smell.

The small black pouch is a tiny bit contaminated, barely above background counts per minute (79-83cpm). The bad-smelling silver foil bag is also measuring a similar elevated background reading but is more like 89-120cpm and quite erratic. Putting the blue printed card right under my counter makes it spike all the way to 900cpm but it drops to hover around 750-790cpm. The rubber strap is a bit more worrying in terms of contamination. There's no reason for the strap to be reading 400+cpm, except for it being composed of a thorium-sillicon material which is extremely hazardous because it can scatter dust easily when flexed!
