fyi be aware of “sami” running the accounts sami--onley, alkhleliy-family, hard-export, there are probably other accounts, claiming their fundraiser is verified on the gazavetters list #21. they were already marked as ‘removed’ on the list for awhile. “sami” (obviously not their real name) is sharing an edited/fake version of the spreadsheet where the campaign is marked as approved, however recently that name and campaign has been flagged as a scam “after confirming (Forgery and identity impersonation) misuse of verification and the threatening messages to others”, as posted on the gazavetters spreadsheet. if you donated request your refund. absolutely despicable to take advantage of a genocide like this… all that money, over €32k, donated to that scammer could’ve been sent to actual palestinians in gaza in dire need, like the family they’ve been impersonating or a grassroots initiative on the ground. also it appears 90-ghost reblogged their fundraiser obviously unintentionally and without knowledge that it’s a scam and now “sami” is using that as proof of validity. please be aware and don’t boost the scammer’s posts. this is the official gazavetters spreadsheet as posted on their account.

There is a previous post including screenshotted correspondence with Gazavetters about Sami being highlighted in red because he harasses people (Gazavetters has rules of conduct and repeat offenders are marked with a warning), while still specifying that he is a real Palestinian. English is not Gazavetters’ first language and they appear to use general language; “impersonation” might be a reference to the fake spreadsheet or trying to get back on the spreadsheet with another account. You should talk to Gazavetters before throwing their ability to identify real Palestinians into question and potentially scamjacketing someone who may very well be a real Palestinian from Gaza behaving badly because he’s a human in deplorable conditions—you’re free to react however you want to the rule violations that have actually happened, but you should talk to Gazavetters and get the facts straight at the very least

look i get what you’re saying but the post you’re referencing if from over two months ago. although english is not gazavetters’ first language they’re very capable of relaying their message in english just as much as in arabic, and you can see that from their other posts. i did reach out to them (and i’m not the only one who did) before they changed the status of the campaign to explicitly mark it as a scam with the clarification. also el-shab-hussein tried to get in contact with them and as you can imagine you receive dozens of messages daily. nothing i said is hearsay and i’m not “throwing their credibility” as vetters, i literally quoted their clarification that they posted on the actual spreadsheet.

Then you should wait to hear back and put out a general warning that he’s using a fake spreadsheet in the meantime, not act as if his real name can’t possibly be Sami and he can’t be Palestinian. This is life-or-death, you need to do due diligence to the best of your ability and this isn’t that.
