even if tvl manages to “it was all a dream” their way out of all the ugly corners they’ve painted these characters into this season, it won’t change the fact that they allowed their audience to revel in antiblack rhetoric for seven weeks + the shit show that was the marketing tour. and that’s best case scenario! that’s assuming they’re not just gleefully violently racist! is that better? racism as a gotcha marketing tactic? i mean, what if the finale is PITCH PERFECT? or devil’s minion (my biggest interest in the show at one point) is everything i ever wanted it to be? am i supposed to celebrate that at the expense of our once lead Louis having any meaningful role whatsoever other than being boiled down to one plot thread rooted in racial stereotypes? or at the expense of sexual assault being used as both a throwaway AND catch all plot device whenever rolin doesn’t know how to develop a character? fuck off. fuck you forever rolin jones. you never deserved this cast and i hope they all go on to do bigger and better things as far away from you as possible.
