Itâs hardly news that female heroes and villains are often overlooked by toy companies in the action figure aisles, but this Fall the Mighty Morphinâ Pink Rangerâs Pterodactyl Dinozord is finally coming from Imaginextâs Mighty Morphinâ Power Rangers!
MMPR OG, Kimberly Hart is available now in Imaginextâs first wave of MMPR toys, packed with Green Ranger Tommy in a mini figure 2-pack. But this Fall, for the first time ever she'll be flying solo with her own power-pad-activated Dinozord, spring-loaded pink missles and all!Â
It would seem a no-brainer, but this kind of move is still pretty rare, especially when the color pink is involved. All other original 5 Rangers (Red, Black, Blue & Yellow) have seen their Dinozord vehicles released already. So itâs pretty incredible that kids and collectors will now be able to have a full team of rangers and their Dinozords...and that Kim wonât be relegated to hitching a ride with Billy on his Triceratops.Â
But given this is a 20-year-old brand being marketed and sold to children age 3+ without any other associated media today, Imaginext seems to be implying anything is possible. They clearly arenât shying away from female characters and their accessories as Bandai has for decades, with 2 different Yellow Rangers and even an Empress Rita Repulsa on shelves now (I say bring on Scorpina). It just goes to show how passionate the Imaginext team is about this brand and about providing a complete play experience for boys & girls.Â
