to miss someone in German
The most common way of saying “to miss someone”: jemanden(accusative) vermissen - to miss someone
♡ Ich vermisse dich. - I miss you. ♡ Ich vermisse dich so sehr. - I miss you so much. ♡ Ich habe dich vermisst. - I missed you.
There’s another way of saying “to miss someone“ using the verb “fehlen”. It’s a little bit more complex because the sentence structure is different from its English translation:
♡ Du fehlst mir. - I miss you. (literally: You are missing to me) ♡ Du fehlst mir so sehr. - I miss you so much. ♡ Du hast mir gefehlt. - I missed you.
