I wish that they hadn’t given up on Klaus’s costume design for S4. I have no issues with sweaters, but at least make them neon. He can wear warm comfy clothes and but at least give them personality

i really loved season four of the umbrella academy. my favorite part was when lila didn’t cheat on diego and five didn’t just give up on everything he did to protect his family. or maybe the part where ben didn’t turn into a monster. or maybe the part where they didn’t all die at the end

one small detail about s4 of tua that I haven't seen mentioned yet that really bothered me is that scene after diego, viktor, allison and luther got their memories back and watched reggie murder ben, then they all got mad at reggie (also not nearly enough in my opinion tbh), and diego didn't even stutter HE DIDNT STUTTER like this is DIEGO, and he just watched BEN DIE, and he's confronting reggie (something that almost always made him stutter)

I just. it's such a small thing but I felt it missing, this scene should have hit harder

he was seen as stupid and himbo and overeager for trying to prove himself and as the seasons went on it got worse and worse until they were making fat jokes and shaming him for wanting to do better with his life, when he knew he could have been just as good as five

why did the umbrellas have to die to save the world? Victor has demonstrated three times that he can pull marigold out of people’s bodies. You might say “the umbrellas will all die without marigold.” This is implied during the season 3 finale where they appear to be dying while Reg’s machine sucks marigold from their bodies. However, in the season4 universe they have no marigold and are completely fine. Could victor not simply suck the marigold out of all of their bodies, feed it to the monster, and then let five take them all to the subway?

Maybe the marigold isn’t the problem, but the fact that they ever existed. This is weird because they still leave an impact on the universe: their children are alive. If the universe is angry at their existence, why can their children live normally? Also, by the end of the show their parents NEVER EXISTED. Why doesn’t this cause a grandfather paradox?

Reginald’s wife could have ended the world by splashing Jennifer with some marigold. Without their powers, the umbrellas would die alongside everyone else. What little sadist gives the umbrellas the marigold so they can suffer more?

As I’m trying to come to terms with whatever the fuck that was, I’ve decided that:

Seasons 1 and 2 are peak. Absolute masterpieces. Canon.

Season 3 can be taken or left. Has its moments, but overall not as good as the first two. Canon, but only if you want it to be.

Season 4 is a fucking crack fic written at 2am that the author rereads at a later date and decides to delete. Absolutely not canon.
