Theo: Are you kidding? Because if this is some kind of joke its not fucking funny.
Harley: I wish that I could say that I am.
PHONE CALLS||THARLEY
Theo: Hey baby whats up?
Harley: It's um...It's your mom Theo. She's in the hospital.
PHONE CALLS||THARLEY
Harley: ( picked up her phone and nervously dialed Theo's number)
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: didn't know what to say, so he just smiled, rubbing her hand with his thumb. "Once you're all better though. Then you're all mine." He laughed. "You might not be able to go outside for at least a day or two." He joked. At her plee, Theo nodded his head, scooting down in the bed a little to get more comfortable. "I won't leave you baby."
Harley: laughed and raised her eyebrows, "I love the sound of that babe." She smirked. She smiled, nodding her head and closing her eyes, "Thank you."
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: "no ones taking your place baby. Cause there's no one who gets me like you do." He told her kissing the top of her head. "While I am all for having sex in wild places, I meant that I think you need to rest and heal up, I wouldn't want you to get more injured because of it you know?"
Harley: "And no one knows me like you do. I'd be lost without you." She said, lacing their fingers together. She frowned and a whimpering sound escaped from her lips, "Yeah...that makes sense." She said with a nod. She was tired, very tired but she didn't want him to leave. "If I go to sleep, please stay." She didn't want to be alone.
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: sighed happily, leaning his head against hers. "Well good because I never want anyone else to have the job. And I'm not going anywhere either." Theo laughed out loud as she pouted. "I feel the same but I am positive it's not allowed right now."
Harley: snorted, "I'd kill who lever ended up taking my place. You're stuck with me for life so that won't be happening." She smiled, "Good. There's no one else I want more." She sighed, "Oh, if only. I mean there is a bathroom," She said with a shrug.
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: he still felt like crap for making her deal with his up and down and trying to find himself, but he knew she was right and he definitely needed her in his life more than he liked to admit to himself. "Well thanks for loving me and sticking around." He said with a shrug. "Plus I heard I'm pretty good in bed." He said with a cheeky grin. It felt good to Theo to be able to feel happy like this again.
Harley: rested her head on his shoulder, "I aways will. Love you and stick around. It's kinda my job." She said with a laugh. "A job that I love." She whispered. She laughed, "You are very good in bed. Speaking of which, I really want you." She said with a pout.
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: nodded his head in agreement. She was very intuitive. "I really appreciate it. I know I don't say it enough, but like-- thanks for being patient with me. I don't have my shit together, there's still so much I need to figure out. . ." He said running a hand through his hair, careful not to bump the stiches near his forhead. "You'd be bored without me to keep you guessing all the time." He joked.
Harley: "Babe." She said, taking his hand and squeezing it. "That's what loving someone is. Being there for them and being patient with them when they don't have their shit together. That's when someone usually needs a person the most. To be there for them, to help them." She shrugged her shoulders then laughed, "Oh yeah. I would definitely be bored."
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: "You are, and it kind of amazes me." He laughed. "I guess. I'm just not sure when I want to go do this. It might be a while though. Just a fair warning. And if you end up changing your mind you can totally do that." He said with a shrug. "You make mine too." He smiled, kissing the top of her head.
Harley: "I'm just very intuitive." She said with a shrug. "I don't want you feeling that you have to rush into this just because I want to go. When you're ready, if you still want me to go then I'll go. She let out a soft squeal, and snuggled up closer to him, "What would I do without you?" She asked, letting out a yawn.
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: nodded his head, "Yeah I guess you're right. That could be nice." He let out a sigh, how she was always right Theo didn't know, but she was. "I guess you're right. I mean, i definitely do feel fucking guilty about it. I have for years." He bit his lip, thinking it over for a few minutes. "Okay well if I go then you can go. But I can't make that decision right now. I've got a lot of other stuff I need to figure out first." He smiled, nodding his head. It was the closest he'd ever come to telling her he loved her. He didn't want to say the words though. Didn't want to taint them with memories of their current situation, but he hoped it would be good enough for her.
Harley: "Aren't I usually?" She teased. "But I think you should give it a chance with Adam. I mean, it would make your mom happy" She said shrugging her shoulders. "Ok, so tell her that. You're not a bad person, you know." She nodded her head, "Thank you...for letting me go with you." She said with a smile. "You just made my life." She spoke softly.
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: "Well not yet, technically. And its a little late for me to start over with a new dad." He shrugged his shoulders. He knew he was an adult now, and though he loved his mom, he had to learn how to do things on his own now and stop being so dependent on everyone else. "Yeah. I was and we weren't but still... it was handled all wrong. I haven't seen her in years to be honest. She moved a couple towns over once her parents found out." Her parents had found out accidentally, and uprooted their whole lives to get her away from Theo. He knew they hated him and she probably did too, not that he'd ever bothered to even see how she was. "You would? Are you sure about that? I mean I'm telling you it may have been like 4 years ago, but they most likely hold a grudge." He was grateful she offered to go with him, but he didn't know if it would be the best thing for Harley to have to witness. "You know I feel the same right?" He said, raising an eyebrow.
Harley: "No, but he will be there for you in a way that a dad should. Yes, it might be too late but better late than never." She frowned, "You were scared. No one ever handles themselves calmly in a situation like that. You handled it terribly, yes, but you feel guilty. It's not like you're some terrible person who feels nothing about the situation." She knew what he was getting at and she shrugged her shoulders, "I want to go. I don't care if they yell at you. I want to go. I want to be your support system. Talking to her is big, and intimidating and I know you're an adult but I don't want you doing it alone." She said squeezing his hand. "Huh?" She asked then bit her lower lip, feeling butterflies in her stomach when she realized what he meant. She beamed, and nodded her head, "Yeah." She said, kissing him softly. She was internally screaming and jumping around for joy and she was so close to doing it externally as well but she didn't want him to regret saying it.
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: smiled, squeezing her hand. He didn't understand how she could still want to have a relationship with her Dad if he hurt her. She deserved to have a dad that loved her unconditionally, but Theo knew that dads could be shitty at the same time. He felt envious of his soon to be who had a dads like Adam who was actually a good one. "Yeah." He nodded his head. He was careful not to touch her too much or move around too much. "I'm just glad you didn't push me away. I still feel guilty about it. I mean, I didn't want a kid at that time, but I was really a dick about it."
Harley: "You know, he may not be your biological dad but he's still your dad. I was thinking about it and that just popped into my head. He loves your mom, he loves you too." She said with a shrug. She smiled, shaking her head. "You were like, 15 right? 16? No one is ready for a kid that age. I think it would help if you went and talked to her. Ease your guilt a little bit. I know talking isn't really your thing, but it would help I promise." She replied with a bright smile. "I'd go with you if you wanted me to. A strength in numbers type thing." She said softly. She didn't want Theo feeling like he was alone in this. "When I told you that I'd love you, regardless of anything you've done, I meant that."
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: smiled nodding his head, "No I guess not. I'm okay with that though. I'd like to keep you around as long as you want to be." Hearing Harley's confession, Theo let out a gasp, before composing himself again. "Have-- why do you still talk to him? You deserve better than that. " He sighed. He nodded his head at her question. "Well I mean yeah. I think so. I don't know if I want kids at all but if I do it would be with you." As she scooted away, Theo thought maybe this was it, the final straw. Maybe now she would hate him how much he hated himself. She didn't though. Instead she patted the spot next to her, where he moved to sit next to her. Careful not to touch her. She was still pretty fragile right now after all.
Harley: "Okay, good. Because I want to be around as long as you'll have me." She said with a smile. "He's my dad. I can't just turn my back or give up on someone I love. That's not me. I told your mom about it and she helped." She said with a shrug of her shoulders. She smiled, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, "Perfect. So we will do the kid thing...eventually." When he climbed into bed beside her, she smiled, and moved so she was closer to him. She didn't care about the pain she felt. She laid her head on his chest. It all made sense now. "Thank you for telling me." She sat up, running her hand along his cheek, "It makes sense. I hope that some day you will see the light in you that I see. You're not a monster, Theo. You're a good person and nothing will ever change the way I feel about you. I love you. Always."
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: Laughed, shaking his head. "That would be a little scary to be haunted." He thought maybe she wouldn't ask about what he said when she went on to other things. The fact that she wanted kids with him someday was a little surprising, because Theo hadn't really thought that far ahead. He tended to live in the here and now, because things didn't always go as he thought. "I think I would too, but I'm completely not ready to be a dad. Maybe in like 10 years, but right now, I'm still learning how to be me." He said with a shrug. He didn't know what to say to make her pain less, but he was a little relived that she at least didn't want kids now. "uh-- yeah. I was like 15 I think. I got this girl pregnant. And then I kind of made her get an abortion...." he trailed off. He wasn't proud of it, the fact that he had pushed her into getting an abortion. But in the end it worked out best for both him and the girl, because her parents would have disowned her, and neither of them were ready for that at that age.
Harley: shrugged, "That just goes to show you won't be able to get rid of me that easily." She said with a smile. "My dad's a drunk who hits me. I don't want to bring a kid into that." She hadn't mentioned that to anyone other than Marina and it surprised her how easy it came out with him. "Wait, you'd want kids with me? In like 10 years?" She asked, scrunching up her nose. Listening to him, she let her words sink in and nodded her head once he finished. She let go of his hand, and moved over on the bed, away from him and patted the open space on the bed next to her.
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: "I'm glad you're okay, because if you weren't I'd miss you too much. " He said with a laugh, as he hugged her back gently. "Its not the first time I was almost a dad." He shrugged, raising an eyebrow, "Are you okay though? I-- I mean... did you-- did you want this?"
Harley: "I'd haunt your ass," She said with a smirk. She raised an eyebrow, "Wait, what?" She bit her lower lip and shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. Not really. Not yet anyway. I mean, I had gotten attached to it. I understood what women meant when they always said that. And I do want kids eventually...with you. But not right now." She raised an eyebrow again, "What do you mean you were almost a father before?"
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: "A little wounded? Harley you almost died." He said, a little upset that she seemed okay with this. Hearing what Harley said, Theo went into shock for a second, his breath catching in his throat. He didn't really know what to say. He wasn't mad, it wasn't Harley's fault. And a part of him was relieved because he nearly just killed himself in a car accident a few days ago, he was no where near ready to be a father. He didn't want to be one. Not yet anyway. But maybe Harley did? He didn't really know. They'd never talked about anything like that. Hell, he hadn't even told her how he really felt yet. "I-- I'm not leaving." He said. He needed a moment to gather his thoughts, but he wasn't going anywhere.
Harley: "But I didn't. I'm okay. Promise." She said softly. She could tell he was upset and she didn't like it at all. "I didn't die and I'm happy about that," She said, shrugging her shoulders. She flashed a weak smile and sat up, leaning over and hugging him tightly. "I love you." She said. "So much."
TWO IN A MILLION||THARLEY
Theo: nodded, not really wanting to go into detail or to make her worry. "I know it shouldn't have been you though." He said with a sigh, reaching out to meet her hand. The bite of her lip and her words make Theos stomach drop. Great. Just when he thought she'd forgotten that she wanted to break up with him she was gonna do it. He let out another sigh, trying to brace himself for what came next, "what is it."
Harley: "Good." She replied with a bright smile. "It's okay. I'm okay. A little wounded perhaps, but I'm fine." Se felt her lip tremble and she ran her free hand over her face as she felt tears sting her eyes, "When I told you that we needed to talk, I found out that morning that I was pregnant. 7 weeks. But I lost it." She couldn't stop the tears from falling and she was full on crying. Not about the fact that she lost the baby but because Theo could leave. "Please don't leave. Please."
