as of today (wed 28 oct) the victorian supreme court has banned further works on the site until after a court hearing. this injunction is valid until after the hearing at 2pm aedt thursday 29 october.

it is not over. we do not know what the hearing will determine but the fact that there will be a hearing at all is testament to the power of the people. now is the time to fight for country harder than ever before. solidarity with djab wurrung first nation. sovereignty was never ceded.

This is the tombstone of Technical Sergeant Leonard Philip Matlovich, the first gay service member to intentionally out himself in order to fight the ban on gay people in the military. He hadn’t only served for Vietnam, he was a career Air Force member in good standing who would have liked to continue his career even though he knew coming out would most likely make that impossible. He’d also been an elder in the LDS church but was excommunicated

He was on the cover of Time magazine in 1975 which was the first time an openly gay person appeared on the cover of a U.S. magazine and had their name printed in that magazine

He was an advocate for AIDs/HIV patients from the start of the outbreak in the 70s. He contracted the virus in 1986 and died 2 years later

His name doesn’t appear on his tombstone because he wanted it to be a memorial for all gay veterans

This is my last project so far this year. I wanted to show some tribute to Percy Jackson series once I finished reading all the books (the story fascinated me more and more, I was reading and at the same time thinking "Woah, this part could be a great poster!”), and I really intended to create a poster for each one of the seven and even a few more (I don’t like HOO that much, tho, only a few characters), but then I saw a painful spoiler. I’m serious: when I saw that that character died I lost my whole inspiration and all my motivation! Suddenly this project became something exhausting for me. So finally, after months, I’m posting this cause I decided I’ll no longer move forward with this project. But I really love these and I hope you guys enjoy it too!
