that's the end of it, isn't it? it's not. this whole thing - this eldritch thing - it's... it's like an ant on a keyboard. like you told an ant, this is a keyboard for people. this is how it's used. this is how it was made. it can't go back to being an ant after that. it would go insane. that's what we are to them: ants on keyboards.
this guy is probably just on a real bad trip. that's what jameson thinks, when this vaguely familiar stranger says some real outta - left - field shit, then hits the floor like a sack of flour. his head had made a thunk on the boards and jameson had winced, taken a gulp of his drink, and crouched down beside him. the bartender says something about an ambulance and jameson waves him off. he wouldn't think twice about grabbing this dude's shoulder to shake him awake, but he's already coming to. thank fuck. they'd been having fun.
his smile spreads across his face, charming and fox - sly, and he shrugs. " yeah, it was some pretty fucked up stuff. really politically charged. " it had been nothing of the sort. but the teasing is fun. " you gonna get yourself off the floor and give me that dance you promised twenty minutes ago? "
before the eldritch took root in him, sean enjoyed horror movies.
after hastur's arrival, however, he rapidly grew to dislike them not because their subject matter had become familiar, but because of how boring the popular idea of horror had become to him. nothing matched everything being thrown at him or bouts of madness anymore; fear, at least in most of it's common forms, became a foreign thing to him.

well. turns out there are other gods. hateful ones.
like the one in our my head.
