So Long And Thanks For All The Fish

//This blog has served me well over the last 2 years. I’ve gained a lot of friends, written some great threads and most of all connected in a fandom that has meant something to me for a big chunk of my life. Honestly, I adore every last second of writing Ian Malcolm. 

But my time here on this blog has come to an end. This is where the ride stops. I’m getting on that helicopter and flying away from Isla Nublar. Oh, but this is not the last you’ll see of me or Ian. Don’t worry. 

I’m not leaving the character, no. God, I never could. I’m not even deleting this blog, but my desire to write and my overload of muses that I had and wanted to write as became too much to juggle from blog to blog. This muse will live on along with all of my other muses on my new multimuse blog.

That means this blog will remain as an archive, but will no longer be ACTIVE. If you would like to continue to follow me and/or to RP with me — please follow me HERE.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT AND CHANGES

//I did it. I made the decision to switch my blogs (including this one) over to a multi-muse as well as bring back some muses I once had and deleted and even add some muses that I’ve had for a while, but was afraid to make the blogs for.

This was no easy decision and I want to assure you all about a few things.

I will be keeping my current blogs in place and not deleting them. Think of them as archived. I’m also keeping them just in case the whole multi thing doesn’t work out for some reason.

I will be moving all current and plotted threads over to the new blog from all of my blogs. I know this sounds confusing, but I promise to make the transition as easy and completely organized as humanly possible.

I am currently working on the blog and doing so is taking a considerable chunk of my free time, but if I am going to do it then I am going to do it right. I am making sure to make things look nice, neat, organized etc as I possibly can before I link to the new blog and consider this blog as well as all of my others archived. I have no idea when I will be able to get this finished, but I don’t anticipate it taking more than a few weeks if I can have decent time every week to work on it. Life, however, happens and my schedule is very much up in the air so don’t quote me on that. It could be as much as month.

When I have the new blog finished, I will post a link to it from all of my blogs. Keep your eyes peeled and when you see it, if you want to follow me, go ahead and follow the link.

All writing here and on my other blogs is being put on a hiatus until such a time that I can have this new blog prepared and ready to go. It makes switching over all threads etc that much easier if I don’t create a bunch of new ones. HOWEVER, this doesn’t mean that I cannot be reached. I do have a discord and until this new blog is finished I can be most easily reached due to mobile from HERE. Feel free to contact me about anything or even if you’re not feeling continuing to write with me or something due to converting to a multimuse just let me know.

Thank you all for reading, following, and putting up with me. I am REALLY looking forward to this new venture and can’t wait to have you all join me (and hopefully more.) I am feeling really good about this and revived and I think those of you who follow me here and/or on multiple accounts are going to like what you see and how I plan to work things. Just hang in there with me and we’ll be better than ever.

Frankly, Dean would get the biggest kick out of Malcolm and his chaos theories. Do I have any idea on how they would ever meet? No. Do I wish they would be conspiracy buddies? Yes.

//Trust me, I promise I actually worked on things (even if I’m terrified nobody cares my Ian is back or that he’s terrible now). However, I didn’t finish any replies etc yet and I am utterly exhausted. I’ve had 5 hours of sleep in the last 24 hours and I’m pretty sure that’s why I feel like garbage and have a massive migraine that made writing a little bit difficult. However, I will have free time later on/all night after I wake up to work on my replies etc.

I will let you all know that I am still having to cover third shifts at work on top of working second shifts other days of the week. I’m pulling close to 40 hours a week now doing that and I’m on completely opposite shifts from my gf at least 3 of the 7 days a week which makes things a little lonely and stressful and going back and forth of sleep schedules takes its toll on my body and sanity. But I promise I will make efforts to come on every week at least once a week to get to what I can. I’m not going anywhere. I promise. <3 Thank you all for waiting. It’s still important to me to make my replies and portrayals the best I can.

For now? Sleep is calling my name.

Ian’s ears picked up a very familiar sound outside the restaurant. Rain. Of course he didn’t have his umbrella. He found himself grinning in front of his present company. Even if he wanted to, which he wasn’t sure he did, he couldn’t leave now. 

A smile still playing on his lips, he lifts his glass and finishes off the rest of his drink. “Well... It, uh... It looks like I have a lot more time that just opened up if you’d like to stick around. I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t, but... Well... I’ll buy you dinner if you’d care to keep blessing me with that lovely accent of yours and your, ha, your company, of course.”

He hadn’t even noticed the rain at first until it began to pick up, pelting against the windows of his classroom. He’d been deep in thought, reading over a few equations and theories. Looking up, he adjusting his glasses, watching the downpour for a few moments before he turned to his former student and current aid. He gave her a smile, leaning back in his chair.

“Well... I’d, ah... I’d say that my original plan to treat you to lunch for helping me with those tests this week isn’t going to go exactly like I thought. Well.. That we’d go out, at least. So, how do you feel about joining me for food of some variety in here?”

Ian stood at the window of Ellie’s home, carefully watching the clouds. Rain he could handle, but if it started to storm that would be a different story alltogether. Of course, he knew that she would instantly understand, but he preferred to leave that part of their past behind them when he could. 

Adjusting his glasses, he turns to face the beautiful blonde, giving her a smile. “Well... I, ha... Yeah. I guess we’re stuck inside today. Unless you like the, uh, the whole, I don’t know, wet Chaotician thing.”
