-charr DO have the natural cat reflex to purr, but it's a lot like hugging in that some do it all the time with friends and acquaintances while others are only comfortable doing it with people they're close to. In the legions it's often considered a sign of softness, so many suppress their purr entirely, especially blood legion. Iron legion and the Olmakhan are the most likely to purr in public.
-While they've adapted to beds since they're less costly, more portable, and more convenient for living and working among the other races of tyria, by nature they prefer sleeping on warm slabs of rock. Many of the more social charr prefer to sleep in cuddle piles.
-baby charr instinctively know how to hiss, scream, claw, and threaten before they even open their eyes
-they're really good climbers and jumpers, known to get into places others would need a mount to reach. Unfortunately this doesn't give us as players any advantage in jumping puzzles
-charr claws are actually very precise and dexterous. Breaking them in combat can be troublesome, especially on the dominant hand. Because of their effective two sets of fingertips, charr make surprisingly good artists and musicians. Whether an individual primarily uses their claws or their actual fingertips is similar to left or right handedness in charr society
-the points of the pair horns on top of the head are usually sharpened, but the smaller set on the sides of the face is actually filed down and kept smooth. This is because charr show affection and mark their property by rubbing their face against it. The gesture used on inanimate objects is a lot like writing your name on your lunch bag so nobody steals it from the fridge at work
-contrary to the history accepted by the legions, the ash legion originated when the khan-ur put a bell on his troublesome toddler and accidentally taught them to be even more stealthy than their siblings in raiding the cookie jar. The cub went on to teach the techniques they learned through this to their warband, and ash was born.
-their senses are VERY acute, especially smell and hearing. All the references to sewage and other unsanitary things in the blood legion personal story, as well as the description of the oozes in the grothmar ooze pit, are because it's considered a sign of strength in the legions to stay focused in combat while being bombarded by overwhelming and unpleasant sensory stimuli. Gross unsanitary stuff is very much a blood thing though, ash are very fastidious and use harsh but clean chemical scents for that kind of training. Flame in particular are very cleanly and tend to just incinerate all the dirt and bacteria off of things
-most charr prefer leather clothing to soft fabrics, which catch against their fur and create lots of static electricity
-they use their tails to signal each other in combat. The meaning of most tail movement is different from warband to warband and usually kept secret, but there are some general ones too
-they do in fact stretch like cats and it feels just as good as it looks like it does
