We had to sit through bozzo number 2 getting a girlfriend and all the white people insecurities at the wedding, (Tiff, Michelle, frank, Francine which I didn't had any reason to care at that point) yet apparently any of the black characters having love interest or lives outside the restaurant is too much to ask. The way apparently it was hulu that requested the show to be longer abd they decided to elongated the most boring parts instead of fleshing out the characters and their endings.
