Haus of Glitch

Hi, I'm Jeremy. I make sound art by glitching things that you know and trying to create something new from it. I make music for the ADHD generation. I'm the Pied Piper your parents warned you about. I've had some success in a few remix contests, and had some artists that I highly respect take an interest in my work. I am grateful for those opportunities because it gave me the confidence to continue making my art. I really like taking concepts from visual arts and applying them to sound art. I've been fascinated by George Seurat's use of small dots of color to allow the eye to create a composite image. I attempt to do the same thing with tiny bits of sound, and let the ear combine the sounds to create a composite song. I also have a cat named Nashville Thunderpussy, and he is awesome.

PAWS UP! Mother has returned.

Here is my remix of "Disease" by Lady Gaga.

The intro is a quote from the film, The Love Witch (2016).

As always, all of the glitches were lovingly carved by hand. No AI or stuttering programs were used. Just me and My Sony Acid workstation. Lots of trial and error to get the right feeling.

Detoxing from love addiction can make you feel unhinged. I wanted to try to capture that as much as possible with some of the sound choices I made.

I have done some incredible healing this year. My divorce was finalized after years of being separated. Therapy and soul-searching. It has been a long journey to heal from the physical and emotional damage my ex caused me. I don’t even think I’m through. I may never be.

But as I’ve told my story, been vocal, been visible…I have felt so much lighter. Like I am more in control.

I never thought that when I was listening to Tori in high school that this song would resonate with me so personally in the future. But that’s the beauty of music, art, and the universe. It’s there for those that need it when they need it.

So I tell my story, and put out my art (remixes) believing that they will be there to be heard by those that need to hear it when they need to hear it…in all it’s perfect timing.
