hey this has been up for like six months, we've been unemployed longer than we hoped, we don't think insurance is likely to cover the surgery in the time she needs if at all, I don't really have any other social media with a following and I tried getting friends to help, but apparently that didn't result in anything, and she's getting sadder every day. :(

Hi yall, I hate to ask for help but I have a tiny orange hairy man here who has gotten sick. I’ve worked part time 15-20h/week for a year now bc of a burnout in fall 2019 and most of my money right now goes to my therapy and basic bills/rent. So,, it’s not good. I’m broke.

He has the feline herpes virus which has stayed dormant except for one flare up last march, but now for the past month or so we’ve had more bad days than good & we’ve been in and out of the vet all the time.

The cornea in his right eye has ruptured twice now due to the virus, and he’ll require surgery tomorrow and it’ll cost a few hundred euros more to fix the corneal ulcer (plus any medication he’ll need for the eye & the flu the virus has caused, some dietary supplements and refill for our Feliway diffuser).

The eye operation today went really well! 🥺 & the nurse told me he took the painkiller injection and eye examination like a champ. He’ll be now resting for couple weeks and I’m just hoping the eye heals without any complications and the flu goes away soon.

The Philippines just got hit by the strongest tropical cyclone ever recorded in history

Yesterday, November 1, 2020, Typhoon Rolly (international name Goni) hit the central part of Luzon, Philippines.

Like the tweet said, it is the most powerful tropical cyclone to hit landfall in recorded history. 

The typhoon has now passed, but the aftermath is bad. Houses destroyed, farmlands flooded, and many, many evacuees. If you would like to see what’s going on, check the hashtag #RollyPH on Twitter, there’s a lot, which brings me to the most important point

HELP US KEEP OUR HOME 🏠

I feel like most of you know but my dad got deported almost a year ago and we’ve been struggling ever since. We’re facing foreclosure for the second time in the past year and I’m afraid. We’ve taken out every loan we can, we’ve asked everyone we know for help and have borrowed money from anyone willing to lend it to us. I have nothing else left to turn to.

I don’t want to lose the home we’ve been in for 10+ years and I need any help I can get so I ended up making a gofundme campaign
