no but the glorious thing abt like. having ocs. or even just ANY portrayal of a character that doesn't belong rigidly to published canon. is that you can literally say "it's canon that they did X and married Y and killed Z" and nobody can argue that. like. nobody. who's gonna argue w it? a fool? a moron? a gobshite? anyone who looks at your portrayal and is genuinely so frustrated that they need to send you a message challenging it is sb that needs to touch some grass. go wild. you create a blog for a character, who has roots in canon or in original lore, and you can do whatever the hell you want with them.

"they killed this evil dude that some idiot in the writing room kept alive" exquisite.

"they're best friends with these canon characters, and it's implied that they actually had a lengthy romantic entanglement with the leading couple." splendid stuff.

it's been a really really rough time of things lately and i think it's time for us to collectively stop caring about logic when we're writing these things. plus it's funny as hell to just say "actually you know what? it IS canon that my muse fought five radioactive unicorns with laser eyes and machetes on their horns, and what's more, they did it with a teaspoon and two packets of demerara brown sugar". tumblr needs to become fun again. if i see one more person stressing over the "realistic" nature of their hcs, i'll end up yelling, bc realism isn't important. stuff's real enough as it is. what MATTERS is that we have fun, bc we deserve to have fun, and i refuse to be burnt out on the dash as well as in my personal life.
