Brainstorming for our final PIE piece. A cube that responds to a sensory input and gives and sensory out put. Frog in a box! Scared frog, come too close, starts to croak.
Well, kind of. It's meant to represent a form of hiding and the sensor we have looks like frogs eyes.
We had originally wanted to make it a little critter running away but the wheels hadn't arrived on time for us to make that idea happen so we had to change it around to solve our issues.

Research in to robot designs to house our arduino based circuits.
Light sensor led light. Premise for this weeks task.
Task for next week
Create an aware object.
It must have a designed Pseudobulbar response to light.
(Involuntarily emotional response)
Must consider the holistic design experience.
This means the physical form is as important as the technological sophistication.
HaHa (our group name) starting arduino!
Double LED blink!
Arduino LED blink!
Started to work in Arduino last week in class! This weeks task was to make the LED blink in morse code for you and your group partners name! Video for that later this week!
My final video for this PIE project.
Development sketches of how I want the game interface to look. Disregard the colour as it is just red to show where the additional bits are. Will be white when it is finished.
Simple yet effective! (I hope!)
Hmmm well this isn't exactly how I wanted it to turn out...
Fixed the colouring on the image backgrounds
BUT
I still can't work out how to place everything right...
bit of a pain cause once I nail that the sound will be easy to put in and I'll be done! Just need to work out the outward look and test it!
A little bit more research on older games. A little bit simpler than their modern day blockbuster video game counterparts.
Ecco the dolphin- quite high quality graphics with simple controls for up/down/left/right/attack. Interacting with the surrounding by swimming through them and fighting enemies
Mario - low pixel graphics. Stylised. Left/right/jump/special controls. Aim to get through a linear 2D level without being killed by various obstacles.
Snakes & Ladder - Classic board game. Avoid the snakes or fall down them. Climb the ladders. Dice roll dictates how many spaces you move on the board.
