up all night // jtk and kjw
( ` the apology is waved off in an instant; it wasnât like he told many people when the day was, unless they outright asked, and regardless, he was fine without the gifts or singing directed in his way. instead, eyes crinkle in the corners to express gratitude to the other male for his sentiments. ) Thatâs okay, I donât need gifts. Thank you. ( `Â once hearing that jiwon is actually alone, and taking a moment to himself to be surprised about that fact, it feels that luck actually is on his side for once. that thought is made suspiciously more significant when heâs met with an endearing smile, and despite only being buzzed he has to fight the instinctive urge to cover it with a kiss or ten. Taekwoon wasnât nearly tipsy enough to handle getting pushed away, not yet, and there was nothing to show whether the contact would be welcomed, especially given that he wasnât sure if Jiwon even liked the same gender. not that it mattered if he didnât, he was perfectly happy to be able to have Jiwonâs friendly company and enjoy himself for the first time in a while, but obviously any chances for kissing a little were slightly more preferable. )
( ` he manages to stay upright as the younger stumbles into him, arms already steadying him with a soft laugh. ) Easy there. I didnât know youâd be literally jumping at the chance- Are you okayâŚ? ( `once certain that Jiwon wasnât about to end up bounding somewhere else and falling over, his arms loosen their hold, returning to simply giving the soft head of hair a small ruffle whilst he responds. ) Thereâs a booth over there thatâs free. Do you want another drink? My treat. ( ` his head cocks to the side, waiting patiently for an answer as a slight smile curves at his lips. if he was going to be stealing up the maleâs time for the rest of the night, buying him a drink or two was the least that he could do. )
( / with cheeks a bit red and heated, he gives a small huff as he clutches onto the front of Taekwoon's shirt for a moment. when he lets go, he clears his throat and pats down his own shirt to try and save himself from as much awkwardness as he can. but he's already failed at this point. ) I'm fine, really! I thought I was going to catch myself, but I suppose not. ( / the smile returns as he looks up at the other, eyes taking the shape of crescents. ) But I'm glad you did, so thank you.
( / normally he would have been quiet and reserved if a stranger had asked if he wanted to drink with them, but it was someone he knew this time. for once he was going to have fun and enjoy the company of another person, it was just a bonus that he knew and actually liked them. the ruffling of his hair results in a bubbly laugh, and he returns the gesture by gently poking Taekwoon's stomach before nodding. ) Sitting there sounds just fine by me. It's just us, right? ( / he feels a bit bad for asking such a question, but he didn't exactly want to spend time with more drunk strangers than he's already had to. plus he wanted all the attention, just this one time. )
O-Oh, really? That would be really nice, actually. ( / a sheepish laugh slips past as he rubs the back of his neck, feeling somewhat bad for allowing the man who's birthday it was to be buying him a drink. shouldn't it be the other way around? ) But you don't have to, I should be buying you a drink. It's your birthday after all. ( / he regrets it the moment it leaves his mouth, and he does his best to save himself the embarrassment. but of course, he makes it worse than it really is. ) B-But I don't have any money. Next time though! Next time I'll treat you, promise. ( / he gives a nod accompanied by a smile as he takes a seat, bouncing slightly on the plush cushions of the booth. )
I'm glad you found me, it was getting kinda lonely over there. ( / another laugh passes his lips as he smiles warmly at the other, finding it hard to contain the excitement from the fact that he finally wasn't alone)
Beneath the stars -- Bobby || Minkiy
His over all reaction had her nose wrinkling, a drunken giggle escaping as she ultimately lost to her drunken self and shifts to lay down acorss the other- better then flat out straddling him considering the tiny skirt she wore. âSo? we live in the same building and itâs not like I use it. Maybe if we become good enough friends, iâll let you have it.â Minki shifted so that her head was on his chest, a forearm draped over his stomach. âmmm, Iâm sleepy.â She murmurs, the alcohol taking a sudden turn. âyoure warm. comfy. cutie.â A yawn broke free and she lifted a perfectly manicured hand to cover her mouth.
âYou should be my bed. I prefer sleeping with others. dont you? hearing another person breathing, feeling their warmth against you. Its the best thing in the world besides booze.â She trailed out the last word, eyes closing at how comfortable she was. Minki fully expected the stranger to pull away and dump her on the ground- hell, any sane person would when encountering a drunken cross dressing stranger draping themselves over them. âyou should come over some night. Apartment 303. check out the telescope and stuff. No strings attached or anything.â
Bobby's hair stands on end as this stranger decides that she's going to lay across him, never had he expected her to do that. But really, he should have seen it coming with how intoxicated she seems and how she's been acting up until that point. Nervously, he lifts his arms away from her, laying them above his head. The very last thing he wanted to do was touch her in any way that might encourage her to do anything more.
What she has him next makes him freeze completely, the feeling of being unable to move overwhelms everything else he's feeling. It gets to a point where he breathes as little as possible, not wanting to move himself or move the person laying on top of him. "Y-Your bed? I, um, I don't think I'm v-very cut out for that..." Swallowing thickly, he inches away from her once again despite the fact that she's almost laying on top of him.
"Oh, w-well, maybe another day. I don't think tonight would be a good time for that." He nods, pulling away from the stranger entirely before laying down once again. He frowns a bit, realizing that he's a lot farther from his original spot than he ever wanted to be in the first place.
    "M-Maybe I should, um, head back h-home."
TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR | Bobby & Stephanie
The last class of the day is always the hardest to get through, and for Stephanie, Fridays just happened to finish at five-thirty. It was all well and good to have her most interesting class on a Friday afternoon, but at that hour, she had one thing on her mind, and one thing only: food. To her classmate beside her, she pulled a face and groaned.
"At least youâre done for the day," he said, laughing. "I still have one more class to go." Very dramatically, Stephanie sighed, putting a consoling hand on his shoulder.
"May the force be with you, young Padawan."
"Youâre so weird. Do all Americans act like you do?"
"Only the beautiful ones, yeah. See you on Monday," she said, grinning and sticking out her tongue.
As she left the campus, Stephanie rubbed her stomach, aware of her hunger. Already she dreaded the thought of having to cook herself a meal, or to make-do with yesterdayâs Chinese take-out, and vowed to find an alternative.
When she had come to Hongdae, Stephanie had been sure she would be missing New York. The streets of Hongdae were no Manhattan and Brooklyn â that much was clear on her first day. And yet here she was, so carefree, so happy, in a country she was hardly familiar with. She, in the short time she had been living here, had settled in well (well, she liked to think so anyway).
But for some reason, today was different. Something about today had reminded her about the charm of New York, a charm she missed. Maybe it was because it was a Friday â Fridays were always her favourite days back home. Maybe she should have an American-esque meal tonight, something that wasnât rice, or noodles. Pizza? No. Fried chicken! But did she have the dough for fried chicken? Sheâd spent a bit too much at the bar the other night, and she had no idea how much she had left in her wallet.
And then suddenly, the realisation of the current date made her stop, much to the dismay of other pedestrians. Today was the ninth, and the ninth meant that Tony â that balding idiot, Tony â had left her a little big present in her bank account. She bowed apologetically to the people she had startled with her abrupt halt, before walking off with a slight spring in her step and a wide grin. And KFC was just a couple blocks away from her apartment. Fried chicken, here I come!
Bobby lets out a sigh he hadnât realized he was holding, the dinner rush having made him work harder than he normally does. Of course it happens nightly, he should be used to it by now but he certainly isnât. He sits on the front counter as the restaurant clears out, a free hand running through thick black hair while the other holds his uniform hat. Bobby was exhausted, the many shifts beginning to wear on him, but he needed money so that he could live under a roof.
With barely any time to rest, another customer is entering and heâs scrambling to get back behind the counter. The last thing he wanted was to be scolded for not always following work practices. Although heâd never had a problem before, it was always better safe than sorry. Most of the time it was hardly busy and heâd nap behind the counter, allowing him to get rest that he desperately needed. It was always a light sleep, giving him the chance to jump to his feet if anyone did decide to come in, which was hardly ever. Normally when he had the restaurant to himself, he would do just about whatever he wanted. It would range from napping, to eating, to dancing. And somehow, he never got caught, but he always did happen to have an excuse on hand if it ever happened.
Letting out another quick sigh, he puts on his most professional smile before giving the line he repeats at least fifty times a day. âHello! Welcome to KFC. Iâm Jiwon, how may I help you today?â Despite being as tired as he is, he still tries his hardest to please customers seeing as that was his duty as someone who's part of the 'KFC Team', as his boss would put it. And the nicer he was, the better the tips which was always a good thing.
up all night // jtk and kjw
( ` thereâs a brief moment where Taekwoon worries the pat will just be brushed off; after all, in a busy place such as this, and with Jiwon being as attractive as he is, heâs bound to already have had plenty of people come up to him in the time heâs been there. but then the next thing he knows, the younger male is turning to face him, and any earlier worries are soon flooding out of the picture once met with an endearingly eager smile. the older male finds himself unable to help from returning the smile, lips curling into a friendly smile of his own, a sight that would be considered rare if he was still sober. )
Itâs my birthday. I promised iâd at least have a few drinks for it, so here I am. ( ` He shrugs briefly, fingers rubbing a tad sheepishly against the side of his neck before his attention returns to the male before him with a small, toothy grin. ) How about you? Are you here with anybody? ( ` as selfish as it was, Taekwoon hoped that it wasnât the case, if only so he could monopolise the younger maleâs company without having to compete for his attention. after all, that was all he was after from the younger male. some company and time for the two to unwind. or at least, he thinks thatâs what he came over for, itâs hard to tell when his thoughts were beginning to race in a hundred different directions. without waiting for an answer, a hand finds itself comfortable against the small of the maleâs back, guiding him from someone elseâs way before continuing with a curious, almost playful tilt to his voice. ) If not, you can join me if youâd like?
( / birthday? Bobby did feel a pang of guilt for not having a gift for the older, but it's not like he knew days beforehand, hopefully Taekwoon would understand. but despite this, a smile returns to his lips as he turns to him, giving him his complete attention. ) Well, I don't have any gifts for you, and I'm sorry. But happy birthday! ( / he laughs, sheepishly looking at his lap, it was a poor birthday wish but he hopes it will do, for now at least. the sudden questions catch him off guard but he shrugs the slightly awkward feeling off, taking a moment to give him answers. )
I'm alright! And no, I'm by myself. ( / it's a rather sad laugh this time, coming to the realization that he was alone most if not all of the time. with a sigh, he rests his head back in the hand propped up on the bar top, eyes drifting to whatever is behind the male up until he feels a warmth pressed against his back. eyes dart back to Taekwoon, his focus completely on him once more. Bobby's face lights up at the idea of spending time with someone and he nods, with a sigh, he rests his head back in the hand propped up on the bar top, eyes drifting to whatever's behind the male up until he feels a warmth pressed against his back. eyes dart back to Taekwoon, his focus completely on him once more. Bobby's face lights up at the idea of spending time with someone and he nods. )
...really? I'd love to. ( / it's all said with a warm smile, far too happy to no longer be by himself in a place swarming with couples and groups of friends. no one had approached him but creepy strangers that reeked of booze, but now that someone he knew was there and actually wanted to spend time with him, he was excited. with a soft sigh, he finishes off his one drink and leaps off the bar stool. over doing it by a bit, he stumbles against Taekwoon, gripping onto him for support. a small mumbled apology slips past his lips as he looks at him with an embarrassed smile. ) Where do you want to sit, birthday boy?
Beneath the stars -- Bobby || Minkiy
âNo?â Her tone was obviously surprised as she rolled onto her stomach. âIt was on some ultra facts thing. I thought it was pretty awesome. To think aliens would see dinosaurs if they looked at usâŚ. do you believe in aliens?â The question was sudden and brought on by the conversation. Minki wasnât sure she believed in them or not, but she liked the idea of not being alone in the universe.
Her lips twitch up as he scoots away a bit, and the drunked part of her mind screamed to touch him. Hell, it screamed to straddle the other male and see how he reacted. But the sober part- a very small part- said that was crossing a line. She was still mulling it over as he spoke again, making her blink. âI have one.â She says, a smile stretching her lips as she sits up. âIts a really good one. Belonged to an ex who wanted to be an astronomer. Gave it to me as a gift because the sex was great. you can use it if you want.âÂ
Minki crawled over to him, head tilted as she looked down at him at what would be considered too close for strangers. âWanna come up and see it? You can see the planets really well on nights like this.â
It was a weird question, to him at least. But he nods before sighing a bit, "I personally believe that if people really think we're the only living beings in this universe, they're ignorant." The thought of it somewhat bothered him, so he gives a small shrug, deciding to drop the subject and focus on anything else the stranger wanted to talk about.
"Really?" It sounded sarcastic, but it was mostly full of tiredness and had slight excitement. Bobby's always wanted to use a telescope, but the only time he could try them out was in stores. And even then, he couldn't look at the stars, just the ceiling of stores and close ups of customers faces. Some found it pointless to window shop, but it did give him a few good laughs.
Oh. He didn't exactly expect sex to come up in conversation, and it certainly made him squirm. Clearing his throat he murmurs, "W-Well that sounds cool. You're really lucky to have gotten such a rad gift."Â
It takes every fiber of his being not to yell yes at the top of his lungs, of course he wanted it use it! But this person was a stranger who seemed to love to get too close for comfort, and he didn't exactly trust them. The sudden closeness made him want to sink back into the grass, and he does try, but he ultimately fails.
"U-Um, m-maybe! We just m-met..." He nods quickly, squeezing his eyes shut, as he didn't want to stare directly at the person looming over his face.
awkward spaces // kjs&kjw
ăăăItâs almost comical the way her thoughts halt and her brain short circuits the moment she feels arms wrap around her. Her body stiffens against the male as her brain quickly tries to start up once more. Even though her thoughts were racing a mile a minute, she couldnât focus on anything other than the warmth she was pressed against. It didnât help that the subway car was rocking occasionally and she could barely keep her footing as it was.
ăăăOkay, Jisoo, get it together. She took a mental deep breath before slowly pulling away from the stranger. Cheeks burning, she could only hope her face wasnât as red as she thought it to be (but she knew it was). She opened her mouth as though she was going to speak only to quickly snap it closed again when she couldnât figure out what to say. Glancing up at the male, she felt her stomach flip and her jaw clenched. Oh god, heâs cute. That only served to make her already awkward state about ten times worse. It was just then that she registered he had actually spoken to her.
ăăăPressing her back to the wall of the subway car, she tried to find her voice. Instead, she hunched up her shoulders and stared dumbly at him for a few more moments. Why did he have to hug her? It would have been all to easy for him to respond like any other person but he chose to hug her instead.
ăăăâIâm⌠fine.â
ăăăA bold-faced lie, she was obviously not fine. Maybe he wouldnât pick up on her obvious distress? At this point, she knew there was really no way for her to recover from the embarrassed mess she had become. Her fingers curled around the hems of her sleeves and she lightly bounced her hands against her sides. Every now and then she would look up at him through her lashes before quickly casting her gaze back down to the ground. The current stop was announced through the speaker and she mentally facepalmed. Great, she was nowhere near home.
Bobby simply runs a hand through his hair, sighing tiredly as he listens to stops being read over the intercom. Focus returns to the flustered girl before him, worry plastered all over his face. Surely, she was lying. Maybe she was sick? She looked... really, really upset. Was it him? Did he smell bad? He had showered earlier, it couldn't of been that, right? Of course not! He thought he smelled great and he was positive other people did too, it was better than smelling like KFC anyways.
He just sort of watches her for a moment, attempting to gather his own thoughts. Bobby didn't exactly believe her, the way her face looked, her body language, and just how red she was made it pretty obvious. But, it would be pretty rude to outright yell 'You're a liar!', plus it might end up with her a lot more upset. And really, that was the last thing he wanted. Bobby always worked towards making others feel better. Although she was a stranger, his feelings were no different. Of course, maybe she just needs another hug. That's how it was for him at times too, a simple hug always made him feel better.
"Are you sure? You look kind of sick. Do you need water?"Â
Genuine concern laced his voice as his brows furrow, he couldn't help but be worried, it was just the type of person he was. Reaching into his backpack, he pulls out a full water bottle, handing it over to her. Water was good for people who were sick and upset, he thinks at least. It was better safe than sorry, and lucky enough for him, he had more than one water bottle on him.
"I haven't drank out of it, so it's all yours."
hoseok & bobby.
"shitâ" a curse escaping parted lips as he gazes down at the now gravy-stained shirt his co-worker was wearingâ blinking dumbly for a few seconds as he bites down on his lower lip, he was definitely prepared to be punched over or something, and he totally deserved it! he already felt extremely guilty for spilling it all over the otherâs front.
lifting his gaze, the brunette gingerly took a step back, a sheepish smile spreading over his lips as he awkwardly lowered the spoon and plastic cup to the counter, heâd actually stolen the snack from the fridge, it was going to be thrown away later, so why not?
heâd probably be in a load of trouble if this guy decided to nark on him or something, so he awkwardly coughs before finally apologizing, "iâm sorry dude, i should have like, been watching where i was going.."
It takes a moment, or two, for Bobby to actually realize that his entire chest had just been covered in gravy. He stares down, blinking a few times before frowning and taking a napkin to try and wipe it off. Ultimately, it gets worse, rubbing into the cloth rather than off.
"I don't--" He sighs, he wasn't upset at his coworker, but the fact that he couldn't get it cleaned. A second shaky sigh leaves his lips as he looks down at his shirt, grimacing at the damp feeling beginning to rest against his chest.
"N-No it's okay... I just... can't afford to go to the laundromat right now, and I don't want to work in it. I don't have an extra shirt." He sounds a bit panicked, eyes glued to the now dirty shirt.
please, just stop crying. // byg and kjw
It's cold, he's tired, and alone. They weren't unknown feelings, in fact, it was nightly he felt like this. But this time, it just seemed worse. Bobby had been invited by 'friends' to come out for drinks and food at a popular bar, only accepting since they were offering to pay. But as they reached the entrance, they bailed on him, laughing to themselves as they brushed past him into the building that overflowed with music. It was originally a joke in the first place, but Bobby fell for it, it was too good to be true he supposes.
Stepping out of the line so that others may go through, he sits on the curb in front of the bar, picking at his fingers as he lets a thousand thoughts surge through his mind. Are they not really my friends? Why would they do that? What am I supposed to eat? How am I supposed to get home? Breathing becomes hard and before he realizes, there's tears trickling down his cheeks.Â
Never does he cry in public, but he can't help it, he felt so embarrassed and let down, and now he was stuck here. Sitting on the sidewalk he cries, his small frame hunched over his knees while he holds them to his chest. Many people walk by, they either stare disapprovingly or laugh at him, either one just simply made him cry more. He was just a kid, it's not his fault he couldn't afford lavish things such as going out, he needed to keep a roof over his head.
He can't do this anymore, it's becoming too emotionally taxing. Immediately the idea of going back to the U.S. to be supported by his parents pops into his mind, but he shoves it out as soon as it arrived. Bobby's shoulder shake as he remains crumpled on the sidewalk, unable to stop crying.
up all night // jtk and kjw
( ` with his second glass now empty, Taekwoon was beginning to forget the reason he was out here in the first place. of course, he knew that it was his birthday, but right now that didnât seem so important. not now that the alcohol was beginning to have itâs desired effect, gradually feeling more and more comfortable in his own skin, even whilst strangers cast him flirtatious looks in attempts to beckon him over. but whether tipsy or not, the male wasnât the type to approach a stranger in that kind of way, not without several more drinks in his system. it was a shame really, since right now that was just what Taekwoon needed, hands almost itching to have someone to spend the remainder of the night with. )
( ` however it seems like his luck is beginning to turn, for once, when a familiar face pops into view near the other side of the bar. even if they werenât close, Jiwon is⌠basically just what he needed at the moment. a friendly face, handsome, and someone he only has good thoughts for. basically, a strike of luck. finding his feet, Taekwoon makes his way over to the younger male, fingers tapping at the opposite shoulder once close enough, before leaning in to speak softly. ) I thought it was you.
( / having found a few won on the ground earlier today, Bobby uses it to treat himself to a drink. seldom did he drink, alcohol was too expensive to treat himself to with the budget he was on. but he supposes that today is his lucky day after coming across enough for at least one drink. the trip to the bar ended up making him feel rather sad, everyone around him was laughing and having fun with others and then there was him: completely alone. he didn't mind being alone, but being reminded that he was bothered him a bit. with an arm on the bar top, he rests his head in his hand whilst looking down and lazily stirring his drink. what was the point of going out for a drink by yourself? it made him look pathetic, at least he thought so. )
( / a heavy sigh leaves his lips as he finishes his drink, contemplating whether or not he should stay in the warm establishment or head home. it's not like he was drunk, just a little buzzed maybe. his thoughts are interrupted when he's gently tapped, turning his head towards the shoulder that was touched. feeling annoyed when he realizes no one's there and that someone is just trying to mess with him. Bobby gets ready to grab his things and leave when a vaguely familiar voice rings in his ears. turning the other way he stares at the older male for a moment before a light bulb goes off in his head and he smiles, finally realizing who it is. I know you. excitement is what he feels, now he no longer has to be alone. his voice is laced with joy, unable to exactly keep himself relaxed like the other. )
Taekwoon! What are you doing here? ( / it was a dumb question, of course he already knew. he was there the same reason Bobby was -- to drink. it was too late not to take it back, so he runs with it, smiling warmly as he waits for a response. )
awkward spaces // kjs&kjw
ăăăEyes closed and fingers loosely gripping the handle above her head, her balance wavered as the subway train slowed to a stop. With her grip tightening and her stance widening, she managed to keep herself upright as an influx of others filed into the car. It was times like this that Jisoo found herself to be the most uncomfortable. She wasnât fond of bodies invading her personal space or even touching her without her permission. Pressing herself close to the window, she tried to hunch up to take as little space as possible. Maybe if she did that then others wouldnât feel so compelled to press themselves against her?
ăăăThe doors slid to a close and the once vacant subway car was now packed with bodies of all shapes and sizes. Her knuckles started to turn white from the force of her grip around the pole beside her. Eyes closed, she tried to keep from focusing on any one person around her. It helped that she had headphones in and she sang the words softly under breath. For a few moments, sheâd forgotten that she was trapped between bodies and it helped to put her at ease. She could have continued on like that the rest of the ride if the subway car hadnât given a sudden jolt. Being caught off guard, her body launched forward and she came face first with the chest of the male beside her. First instinct was to shove him, the second was to quickly push away; she did neither.
ăăăFingers gripping the sides of his shirt, she kept her eyes squeezed shut and hoped that she was just the butt of one of Fateâs bad jokes.
How Bobby was lucky enough to come across a subway pass, he didn't exactly know. But he couldn't really complain, it allowed him to get anywhere he needed within the city without shelling out cash he didn't have. It was amazing really, now he had one less thing to worry about and it felt good, another weight was lifted off of his shoulders. No longer needing to depend on others or walk everywhere was a relief, it gave him a weird sense of independence.
Lost in the thoughts of his newly found gift, it takes a bit for him to notice that there's a girl who's got her face shoved into his chest. Confusion plagues him and he looks around, for some reason expecting an answer but never actually getting one. A frown tugs at the corners of his lips and he feels a pang of worry, is she alright? Maybe she wanted a hug, she seemed to have an iron grip on his shirt and it didn't seem like she planned on letting go anytime soon.
With a shrug, he lazily wraps his arms around her and gives a light squeeze, hopefully comforting her in some sort of way. He didn't mind really, he loved hugging others and being hugged and was open to it any time of day. A sigh leaves his lips while he lightly hugs the rather small girl, glancing out the window to catch a glimpse of the blurry tunnel walls as the train speeds through them.
Eventually he pulls away, not wanting to hug her forever or make her uncomfortable in such a small space. Long arms drop beside his sides and he sighs again, glancing down at the woman who still clung to his shirt.
     "Are you okay?"
you just have to ask // cj and kjw
Exhaustion plagues him, but he pushes on, needing the surprisingly small pay check at the end of every week. Unfortunately for him, most if not all of his money goes towards his rent and other bills such as electricity and water. It was a rather sad explanation as for why his apartment was completely bare save for a small bed. But he didn't mind, just thankful that he had a roof to put over his head.
Lost in his thoughts, he never notices a male enter and take a seat. He's got his arms folded on the counter and his head rested on them. These hours were always slow, and he really didn't mind. It gave him just a bit of time to rest that he normally didn't recieve. It was rather nice actually, with how many shifts he had to work to make ends meet it was nice to get a small break every once in a while.
Eventually, he sees him and his eyes widen. How long have they been here...? He groans, running a hand down his face in defeat. He'd finally screwed up, and surely this means the end of his job, he wouldn't be able to pay for anything and he'd lose his home. But maybe, just maybe, he was overreacting. I hope they're not too mad.
With a smile, he approaches the other. "Hi! Welcome to KFC, I apologize for taking so long to serve you! What can I do for you tonight?"
Beneath the stars -- Bobby || Minkiy
Minki watched the male with that same little smile on his face, shifting to lay on his side as he watched the other, resting his head on the palm of his hand. âYou like them?â A moment of thought before he nodded. âGood enough.â he says, plucking a blade of grass from the ground and letting it fall back. âmmm, you know, I actually knew that one.â A smile flashed over his face, pride in himself obvious in that moment for actually knowing something. âLike if you were on a planet and looked down on earth, youâd see dinosaurs. I saw it on the internet.â He lays his head down on his arm, hair fluttering down over his face.
âyoure really cute.â he says flatly, for some reason enjoying how uncomfortable he made the other. It was stupid, but it was a new reaction to him- well not NEW, alot of men were uncomfortable when they reached down and found something they werent at all expecting. But this was different, and he enjoyed the new reaction. âDifferentâŚ. i like different.â Once again, the blond rolled onto his back. âYou should get a telescope.â
"Never heard that before." Bobby gives a small shrug, whether it was true or not he didn't know. He'd have to look it up whenever he was able to get to computer, it would bother him if he didn't.
The sudden declaration from the other makes him feel... well, he doesn't know what to feel other than uncomfortable. It results in him scooting away just a wee bit more, hopefully it wasn't too obvious. But Bobby wasn't exactly the king of subtlety. Who was this dude? Why is he conversing with him when he could easily just head inside and talk to those who had more to say and probably welcomed the interaction? With a sigh, he ignores the compliment and clears his throat before mumbling under his breath.
"They're too expensive." It was unfortunate but true, he didn't have hundreds of dollars to drop on a telescope. Even if he did, what would be the point? He can see them just fine with the naked eye, it's good enough for him at least. Bobby completes his thoughts by clearing his throat again, fidgeting as he lays beside the stranger in what he considers an awkward silence.
"that looked easier on tv."
     "Fuck IKEA!"
Internally, he wasnât that angry. But putting together furniture without instructions was hard. Of course, he would have used them but luckily for them, it didnât come with any.
"Who the buys a chair thatâs in pieces anyways? Whatâs the point of this! I thought buying furniture was easy, no one said you had to build it!" Why they had ordered a chair off of television, they didnât know. Why he completely forgot that sellers constantly said it had to be built and were explaining how to, he didnât know either.      It was mostly irritation that plagued him, but eventually he gets it right. A smile tugs at his lips as he boasts about it to Hoseok, rather proud of himself. Though the many left over parts was a bit alarming, he ignores them, assuming they were just given as extra if any were lost or broken.
"See, look, I can do it." Without thinking he plops into the chair, it breaking almost immediately. A grumpy Bobby simply curls up on the floor, laying among the parts. He didnât want to deal with it anymore. Honestly, he wanted to burn it at this point.

Beneath the stars -- Bobby || Minkiy
âThe stars huh?â The little yell had a drunken smile forming over Minkis face, and frankly he wanted to tease the other about it. But the thought went as fast as it came, washed away by a sea of alcohol until his mind could only center on the fact that the male was sitting out under the stars at 1am. Then again, so was he now- although his was fueled out of curiosity of the other, and not out of want to watch the stars. His eyes squinted slightly to help the small dots of light come into focus before blinking and turning to look at the other, studying him. He certainly was a cutie- even if he was a tad jumpy. Seeing the distance between them, Minki shifted slightly over to close a bit of the gap.
âWhy the stars?â He supposed that was the most pressing of questions on his mind. Why would he sit out here and fall asleep watching the stars when you could be in bed. Beds were definitely more comfortable then the ground, even if it took too much effort to get into them sometimesâŚ. especially when it wasnât your bed. âiâm more watching you, than the stars.â The words spilled out unheeded, truthful and blunt- typical Minki style, really. âYoure moreâŚâŚâ His voice trailed off as he thought of the word he wanted, propping his legs up. âinteresting-â he suddenly says, unmindful of the way his skirt slid down pale thighs, pooling as his waist. âmuch more interesting.â
"Because..." He trails off, the truth was embarrassing but he really had no excuse as to why he was staring at the stars. "Because I like them." It was a piss poor reason, but he runs with it, deciding to save himself from the long explanation. Each time the other pressed closer to him, he inched away. Bobby loved physical affection, but he didn't exactly want it from drunk strangers who had randomly decided to plop down next to him.
I'm interesting? Why are you staring at me? What are you doing? A shiver runs down his spine and he can't tell whether or not its from being cold or from being uncomfortable, but he decides that it's from the cold, giving this rather weird stranger the benefit of the doubt as multiple questions run through his thoughts. "W-Well, that's nice to know." That would most likely suffice, what else is he supposed to do? Turn to him and return the words? He couldn't, he didn't know him! "I personally think the stars are much more interesting. Most of them have died out, actually, we're just seeing their light. Some have been burned out for years. New stars appear every day while more and more disappear, it's hard to tell which are new and which are gone though." He laughs, returning to the subject of his beloved friends.
