like the fact that it’s just been a given that dan goes on lester family holidays including ones that are for special days like birthdays for years and years and he’s spent so much time at the lester’s home where phil’s mom feeds him and makes him cocktails during the holidays and dan was (obviously) phil’s date to martyn and cornelia’s wedding and dan is also their daughter’s uncle and phil’s dad painted bamboo from their japan holiday and they make an effort to bond with phil’s mom together like. i know we’re always saying dan is a lester but he REALLY is. and it just makes me so emotional and happy that dan is so deeply connected to his in laws.
