Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have Mercy on Me a Sinner
Have you ever considered not being a waste of space? Spamming this retard shit online all day is why you don't have any real friends
I don't know what you've gone through or are going through or why you would ask this.
But I just wanna let you know that Jesus still loves you. He died for you on the cross so you could have eternal life, peace, and joy in him.
Whatever pain or struggles you are going through, Christ can set you free from them. He set me free from my own and I know he can do the same for you. All you have to do is let him in.
Lord have mercy. Mother Mary protect us 🙏

Being a young Catholic woman, some of you will genuinely never understand how much it hurts my heart to hear people disrespect Mary. I get a lot of comments and DMs from Protestants or people of other religions that say genuinely awful things about her. (not saying ALL protestants or people of other faiths do this, there are a lot of you out there who are genuinely respectful and I love you for that! ♡)
They’ll say that we worship her, that having statues and shrines for her is idolatry, that praying to her is necromancy, that she’s a sinner, that she’s worthless in the eyes of God.
I want to cry every time I see such words.
It amazes me that even though we all believe in the same God, there are some that will turn and attack their own brothers and sisters with cruel words or mock the Blessed Mother.
E. and B. Mum here, our life still in the same shambles as before if not worse, BUT! The Best Friend that’s been pregnant concurrently with me with a 3 week difference, has just welcomed her son, also with a B. initial, yesterday! She has had a good birth experience and everyone is doing well as far as I know. Since you are so close to our family I want to spread this joy and praise as well. Glory to the Lord our Father and Creator 💝
Thanks be to God! What a wonderful gift is a child, as all life is precious. Thank you so much for sharing that news with me about baby B, your best friend’s baby! So how good God is, even when things can seem crazy? A new baby can brighten our lives, even when it is our best friend’s child. I will surely pray for little B and the family of your best friend. Perhaps your little one will arrive soon as well. 🕊️
btw if youre new to catholicism pls dont listen to everything you see on the internet. pls go to church and talk to the priest, they are here to help, they dont judge, they are here to answer questions and deliver the word of the lord. ask a priest or a nun dont ask 12 year old lizzie please

It's wild to me when people compare the Jedi specifically to Catholics, because one of the foundational tenets of Catholicism is that through suffering, you can become holy. Like evangelicals have the prosperity gospel, Catholics have suffering. You can grow closer to God through suffering, and if you ARE suffering? It was his plan. You have to figure out what to make of it. This is why Catholics are obsessed with martyrs and saints. The martyrs die HORRIBLY in most cases, and you know what that is? Holy. That's how you become a saint, babey! Anyway, this is in extreme juxtaposition to the Jedi. The Jedi try to prevent suffering as much as possible! They accept that suffering exists because there will always be darkness like there is always light, and you may learn from the suffering, you will live with it and live on, but it is not GOOD that you suffered. And when things are thrown out of balance? When there is far more darkness than light? Then that causes MORE SUFFERING, which the Jedi want to fix! "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to SUFFERING" Yoda says, sadly, for everyone watching The Phantom Menace to hear but apparently not process.
Arguably, it is the galaxy and their impossible expectations of the Jedi inflicting Catholic thought ON the Jedi. You hear Obi-Wan say during TCW that if worlds would help defend themselves, then the Jedi wouldn't be so overburdened. Palpatine drafts them, and they HAVE to help, and he literally sets them up martyr themselves because they don't have any other choice. They can't do nothing. The galaxy wants them to be the saviors of everything while doing nothing themselves. And then, of course, as it can often go with saints and saviors, when they aren't good enough? Well, we all know what happens there. The galaxy swallows the Jedi genocide wholesale because they are tired from the war and the Jedi? Well, they didn't do enough.
Also, I really think people get "institution" and "institutional power" mixed up. Sure, the Jedi have power in that they are Force-sensitive and they have power in that they are working with the senate. They have contacts in the highest halls of power, but THEY are not the power. They can have influence, but this influence gets more and more limited after the Nihil Crisis during the high republic (during which the Jedi are burdened with more and more and pushed into the unforgiving world of public opinion) and by the prequel era? As we know, they are working for the senate more than with it, but that's not easy to untangle. Being part of the Republic is how they help the most people. They believe in the Republic's ability to recover. The Jedi have WAY less political power than people in fandom seem to understand. They aren't writing policy because they aren't allowed to, even if Jedi like Obi-Wan may influence say, Bail and Padme's work, that's not the same as having HUGE political influence. You see the council push back against things in the senate multiple times, and the number of times the senate listens is uh. Minimal. The Catholic Church? Huge political influence. During the AIDS Crisis, they scared people off of using condoms. Today, one influential Catholic man named Leonard Leo is essentially responsible for the US Supreme Court and the state it's in.
The Jedi aren't Catholic. And they never will be.
Look, I'm not saying the Jedi are Catholic. George Lucas pretty clearly has an amalgam of Buddist-Taoist monks, knights-errant, therapists, diplomats, and more.
That being said, you can't honestly look at an organization where almost 600,000 people voluntarily renounce certain attachments to the world to live in community (many of which to serve as healthcare professionals, teachers, and to care for the hungry) don't at least "rhyme" a bit (to use a Lucas phrase). Those women and men who renounce worldly possessions, marriage, and their selfishness to operate hospitals, homes for people with leprosy, orphanages, and people with disabilities? (x "dossier" page 7)
I helped Mother Teresa's sisters feed men in Kolkata, some of whom had been so emaciated from being abandoned that they could no longer walk. One man had been so mistreated, he had exposed bone that the sister who was an RN helped treat. They run homes for people with leprosy and have extensive support for homeless populations in every city they have establishments. And that is just one religious order out of thousands. While people don't have to like all of their methods, they are giving their lives to help others.
Does the Catholic Church have a huge political influence? In some places (Argentina, Cameroon), certainly. In other places (India, Türkiye), much less so and in others (China, Saudi Arabia) it is actively persecuted by governments. Even "Catholic" countries like Italy and Malta routinely ignore the Catholic Church's requests, just like the Senate does the Jedi. Just like many other major world religions at different times in their histories. Leonard Leo doesn't speak for the Catholic Church just like Steve Jobs doesn't speak for Buddhism.
Again, the Jedi aren't Catholic. but let's not act like George Lucas couldn't have taken some inspiration from the monks, nuns, and sisters of the Catholic Church as well as the monks and nuns of Buddhism and Taoism. And let's not pretend that the Catholic Church doesn't ever help people on purpose.
Recently, the Nostalgia Critic reviewed Jonah: A Veggietales Movie”. Here he mentions he had a Christian upbringing which he disliked. We should pray for him to return to Christ

Please please pray for my neighbors. The mom and daughter especially. I came back from a half hour walk to find 3 big cop suvs and cops in my apartment. Apparently the ex whos been mostly kicked out is being looked for, again apparently. The poor baby girl has been so fearful about going to school and being kidnapped. I think if I can do it safely I might have to be the one to call because so far this year this has been I think the 4th time the cops have been here like that.
absolutely
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”
Psalms 46:1-3 NIV
