“Masculinity is never transgressive.” Do you know how much better I’m treated by liberal, casual daily cishet society if I present more feminine? If im an edgy woman instead of something a little bit too far into butch? How much more people smile at me, hold doors for me, are friendly to me? How is masculinity not transgressive for trans mascs if everyone, including my very supporting mother, is just dying for me to put on some lipstick and a skirt again?
Interactive and fun!!!!
"there is no way you're not using chatgpt for at least a few things here and there no matter your stance on it" what the FUCK are you talking about
algorithm did something
there's no way you were "forced into a feminine archetype." forcefem doesn't exist irl since masculinity is rewarded under patriarchy 💀 stop parroting transandrocunt talking points
You don’t have a good relationship with reality, do you?
“masculinity is-“ talk to a butch woman. now. do it. ask her about her experiences. ask her how the patriarchy has rewarded her.
i implore you. especially if she can be mistaken for a dude on first glance.
hi i literally went to a school where it was basically against dress code for a girl to wear pants on chapel days
i was ostracized by half the girls in my grade for trying to wear khakis and a button-down instead of a skirt or dress
even if you did wear pants to chapel or church there were other feminine gender norms you were expected to follow (i.e. hair, accessories, makeup, etc.) to maintain a certain level of femininity
when i was on the worship team at my church i absolutely could not have my butchest days on the same day i was singing in front of the whole church
and even though im mentioning Christianity, this is still very much a problem outside of that realm as well
i was actively forcefemmed for most of my life. you don't get to tell me it's not real, because I LIVED IT.
I’m not allowed to cut my hair or wear masculine clothing because my mum wants to forcefully detransition me and thinks allowing me to dress and act masculine will fuck up my brain and turn me into a perverted loser! The next person who says “forcefem doesn’t exist irl” will be curbstomped because I can’t keep fucking doing this shit 😃
kind of amazing/depressing that you can go on almost any blog stating themselves as tme or tma, search for the term "transmasc" and immediately get blasted with the most awful transphobic garbage you've ever seen spouted by another trans person
vegan friends do like to give you a brownie that is 2/3 canola oil and say “can you believe this is totally vegan and allergen free?” and its like, well yes. but i love you
rap is awesome btw anyone who screams about it being overstimulating or bad is just racist. like i'm a ~high support needs~ autist with brain damage. crazy... how rap has never bothered me in the slightest.... 🤔 isn't that interesting . you'd think i would be the most sensitive to the apparently "oh-so-overstimulating" rap music..... maybe you should just get your shit together or admit the real reason you avoid it !
i myself am a person who will throw around dude/bro/man like i'm trying to bring surf back in style, but sometimes when i see people vehemently arguing that these terms are entirely gender neutral i do wanna gently take their hand like. okay but have you considered the societal and histortical reasons why masculine language and gender neutral language have so much overlap. can we acknoweldge how traditionally masculine terms are treated as a default and what that means. or are you gonna be weird about it.
"this movie doesn't hold up bcos of dated special effects :(" to you, maybe. i would clap at a bat on a string
reblogs are back on for october! limited edition
i think the internet should transition from being so usa-centric to being brazil-centric. not cos i have any personal connection or bias towards brazil, i just think if anyone could possibly usurp america’s cultural dominance online it’d be them
Gotta appreciate how goddang on point Yiddish was with developing the verbage. “Mazel tov”. “Schlep”. “Kvetching”. It feels good in the mouth. Accurate. Organic. Kiki and Boba of concepts
I believe that if I’d never heard the word before in my life and someone pointed to some sleazy rapscallion rubbing elbows with persons of influence and said that they were “schmoozing” I would just innately know what they meant
but for real though the keep gay people away from children thing is so weird because so many teachers are gay. I mean, even historically. lots of gay women became schoolteachers because the job forbid them to marry during the term of their employment and it was a good excuse to keep men away. and I think we all had at least one nebulously gay teacher at our school, often several and it didn’t kill us and they were usually very good at their job.
the last part is so unecessary omfg. can yall stop acting like we - transmen - gain privileges as soon as we start transitioning ?? or act like transitioning erase years of misogyny ??
