Welcome to the Wild Summer Exchange! All types of digital works are accepted for this exchange (fic, art, gifsets, fanvids, edits, webweaves, stats deep-dive, and so on!).

Sign ups open: June 2, 2026

How do I sign up?

Fill out the Google Form. by 12am CDT on June 18, 2026.

How does this work?

Sign up by the above date! You will then be assigned someone to create a gift for, based on your preferences. You will receive an email with the information shared by the person you are creating for. You have about nine weeks to create a gift. Please let me know by August 22, 2026 if you are unable to complete your gift.

On August 29, please share your gifts with your exchange partner whether on tumblr, discord, or somewhere else! The AO3 collection will also be revealed.

How will the mods contact me about who I'm matched with?

You will be contacted via email.

How can I contact the mods?

You can contact me via email ([email protected]) or via the tumblr page wildwinterexchange.

Does my work have to be about Minnesota Wild players?

Yes. This a Minnesota Wild exchange. All works must be focused primarily on the Minnesota Wild. If you are creating a fandom work, both players included should be current/former Wild players (or in the Wild ecosystem, such as broadcasters, coach, GM, etc.), and one player should currently be on the team.

How is this exchange different than the winter exchange?

The summer exchange is ONLY digital; there is no physical element included. This should make matching a little bit easier.

How do I submit my work to the AO3 collection?

When you are ready to publish your work, look under the Associations section of the New Work form for *Post to a Collection/Challenge* and enter *WildSummerExchange26*.  Alternatively, initiate your new work from the *Post to Collection* button at the top of this page. 

What is a pinch hitter?

It is possible that some people may not be able to complete their gifts. Pinch hitters are people that the mods can call upon to complete these assignments. Saying you are interested in being a pinch hitter on your sign up does not mean you will have to do anything extra, but does mean that we may reach out to you in January if you are needed! 

Are there maximum/minimum requirements?

No. Just use your best judgement - and your imagination!

How will we be matched?

You will be matched by the preferences you submitted, both in terms of type of gift and player preferences.

How do I know what my match likes?

You will receive the information that they submitted on their form. You don't have to create any exact item, but please take their preferences into consideration.

Can I post my work anonymously?

If you really want to? Just make sure you gift it to your match.

What if I can't finish in time?

Reach out and contact me and we will figure it out together.
