i think part of what makes eddie and chrissy so vivid is that they exist in a vacuum.

their main scene together was just the two of them, no other characters, no glaring item of clothing or tech that placed them in the 80s (both their outfits are kinda timeless)

just two people existing for in a moment that could never be replicated, finding something unexpected in each other
