"…I WISH YOU WERE MY MOM!" Hands darted up to her mouth, the truth spilling into the air having a bit of a sting to it. "I wish…" She dropped her arms, sighing into the air. "I wish you were my mom… I’ve never really had a mom? Uh.. Ever. I wouldn’t know what a Mom’s like.. I wouldn’t even know how to be around a mom."

She looked up at the Doctor, eyes shining with every single emotion she had tried to eradicate from her life. 

Fear of being judged. Fear of being seen as weak. Fear of being Rejected.

Anger at herself for voicing the thought. Anger at herself for putting Cardea on the spot. Anger at her parents for not giving a single shit.

Confusion. Where did the thought to blurt it out come from? What was Cardea even thinking? 

"I’m sorry… I’ll be on my way.. yeah?"

Cardea's eye widened as the young woman spilled everything. She moved slowly to hug Daeva. She didn't know exactly what spell had caused the confession but she was very touched by it.

"Oh, young one, that is very flattering to hear. I've never been anyone's mother before. I can't see how any parent wouldn't be proud to call you their daughter though."

You got me. But mine always turns fuck and any variation of it (including fucking) into duck. So when I get really angry, people laugh at me. No joke.
