Sirius asks Remus to move in with him after Hogwarts, because he figures the best way to let Remus know he's interested in him is to make a big move. Remus accepts, and Sirius thinks great! We're dating now! Remus does not know this, however. Sirius proceeds to romance the fuck out of Remus for the next year, which Remus misinterprets as Sirius just being a Really Good Friend. They don't have sex bc clearly Remus is shy and Sirius is willing to wait for him! Anyway Remus doesn't figure out they're dating until their first anniversary dinner. Is this anything.

oh my god, sirius makes dinner reservations and tells remus ‘wear something nice ;)’ and remus thinks this is a dig at his wardrobe but well, sirius isn’t WRONG, so he puts on his best jumper and the cords without the holes in them, and they go out to a fancy dinner together, and sirius orders the good wine and surprises him with a thoughtful gift, and remus is feeling a bit overwhelmed by how good of a friend sirius is being! sirius looks a little hurt that he didn’t get him something, which is odd bc he of course loves to give sirius little gifts when he finds something that he thinks sirius will like, but it’s never a formal thing? and then sirius is asking ‘you forgot, didn’t you? :(‘ and remus is so confused bc he can be a bit forgetful sometimes but he of course knows sirius’s birthday and padfoot’s birthday and any other day that could possibly be important to sirius! so remus is all bashful like, ‘i’m really sorry I have no idea what I’ve forgotten” and sirius is all shocked kitten, ‘our anniversary?!?!’ and now remus is very confused bc their friendship anniversary is an Event with james. so finally sirius reminds him that he asked him out exactly one year ago today. and remus is now thinking of all possible other definitions of asking someone out when it finally hits sirius that remus has no idea they’re dating. sirius is now mortified, but remus is very excited to learn that sirius is his boyfriend! and then he’s like “but we’ve never had sex???” (they’ve done other things and usually share a bed but that’s just friend stuff!) and sirius says he thought remus was just shy. and remus is like “I am not that shy I would fuck you on this table if you asked” and then everyone else in the restaurant has a very awkward night the end.
