Phainon x Reader College AU
Spring is arguably the best time of the year to study art outdoors. Currently though, the only place in walking distance of the dorms was the Quad. You take what you can get on a college campus. With pencil and sketchbook in hand you find a shaded spot to sit and draw some of the other students and scenery around you.
You were stalling on your class projects admittedly but the fresh cool air was too enticing and the warm sun was making the temperature outside perfect.
After sketching out the fountain and surrounding flora you turn your attention back to the students around you.
You were not the only art student out and about with similar intentions but you were the only one that chose to sit alone to sketch. Too many distractions and you wanted to work on your form and fundamentals. When you flipped to a new page and looked for a new subject to study a particular person caught your eye not too far from where you were seated. You were stunned by how almost otherworldly he seemed.
Seated under a tree not far away was a man with white hair that was dressed casually but in a way that still made him seem like he could be a model if he wanted to be. He had a few books set out around him with a notebook propped up on one of his long legs.
He was studying, but you could not make out the subject. The choice for your next model was clear. You had to draw this man. His features were too cut and defined to not draw. It would be a crime and you were not going to pass this moment up. So you got to sketching and soon you grew lost in the details.
The white button up that was not done up all the way, the black slacks that had pin striping and the dress shoes. All of it was accented with a repeating sun motif and a choker around his neck.
Time stretched on and you hardly noticed the sun getting higher in the sky. You certainly didn't notice that he caught you a long time ago stealing glances at him. He was far enough away that you couldn't see his smirk as he tried not to move too much as he kept up his studies and note taking.
When he saw you stretching too many times in between glances and pencil strokes he made a move to get up and see your skills. You didn't notice his movement until he was standing over you blocking your light and as you looked up and tried to process the details of his features you could only guess at from far away, he couched down to eye level with you.
"Can I see what you were drawing?" His voice was like silk and your brain short circuited for a moment. A noise escapes your mouth but no words followed. You look down at the page that was taken up solely by him and he followed your gaze.
"Oh my, you're very talented, you managed to get all that from how far away you were?" He asked and you nodded still unsure of your voice at the moment. He held out his hand as a silent question to look at it closer and you turned the sketchbook around and held it out to him.
"That's truly amazing, are you an art major?" He held the sketchbook delicately and admired your hard work and attention to detail.
"Yes, I'm a Fine arts Major." A smile graced his features upon hearing you finally speak. You looked away for a moment and spotted the books he had with him. Art history and world history along with his notebook that looked like it was well used.
"Are you also an art major?" You pointed to the art history book specifically and he followed. A slight chuckle escaped him and he took a seat next to you now. "No, I'm a history major, but the class I'm currently studying for is art history." You nodded along and soon conversation drifted back and forth about art forms, history and techniques he could see you were using.
An alarm brought you both out of your conversation and you scrambled to turn it off. It was set to remind you of your class starting in ten minutes.
"I almost forgot I have a class today" You hated that you had to gather your supplies because the conversation was so fun and natural. A delayed introduction was given as you packed your things.
"Its nice to meet you, I'm Phainon and I do hope to see you around more." "Sure," You hesitated for a moment about reaching for your phone, but quickly shook off the butterflies and fished it out of your pocket. "Perhaps I can help you with your art history studies sometime?"
Holding it out to him with a smile he gladly accepted it and typed his information into your contacts and sent himself a message before handing it back to you.
"I look forward to the help, and maybe I can model more for you in the future. You can be more detailed next time." He winked and your brain really broke this time as he helped you up from the grass and passed you back your sketchbook. "Good luck" and just like that he was off and you were still trying to process how such a gorgeous man took enough interest in you to see how you had drawn him.
You opened your sketchbook again for a moment and wrote down his name next to the drawing you did of him. You managed to get to class early enough to set up and check your phone and had to hold back a laugh when you saw how he saved himself in your phone. 'Phainon, Model Deliverer'
Maybe he was just as happy to have been drawn as you were to have drawn him.

A/n: This was my first time writing a fanfic, but I would love any feedback
This was actually therapy homework to get okay with things not being perfect the first time and to just get comfortable with posting and handling any criticism that comes from it.
Phainon is my favorite character in Honkai Star Rail but I have not finished Amphoreus so he might be a little OOC. I've been stalling cause I dont want it to end XD
