Okay, can I bring up a small detail from the scene before the battle against Nefarious in A Crack in Time?
We all know about the moment where Nefarious strikes a serious nerve of Ratchetâs by calling Clank a pathetic sidekick and Ratchet is like âNo one talks to Clank that way.â However, thereâs another moment from that scene that I feel gets overlooked.
Itâs when Nefarious is walking towards them and jumps forward before stopping just short in front of Clank. When he does so, Ratchet instinctively reaches towards Clank as if heâs ready to protect him in case something happens.Â
The first time I caught that, I was left smiling like crazy! Seriously, the little moments with those two always make me so happy!

As someone with anxiety, all of these are very true.
I still think Into The Nexus had the best soundtrack of the whole R&C series. I love the main theme for how heroic it is, especially the 8-bit remix they play during the credits, and I think what I love the most is how Vendraâs theme music creeps into other songs on the soundtrack, which is such a nice touch.
What game do you think had the best music?
Honestly, same! The main theme is very cinematic! Everything that happens on The Nebulox felt like I was playing a movie. The music is one of the major factors that made me feel that way. Hands down one of the best intros to a game Iâve ever played. Vendraâs theme is perfectly haunting and fits well with the creepy themes in the game. The game overall really does have excellent music so itâs a shame, from what Iâve seen, other R&C fans seem to not care for this game or ignore it all together.
Other than Into the Nexus, I enjoyed the music for the first game, Going Commando, and A Crack in Time also had some great tracks

Even if what I made doesnât work the way I planned, that doesnât mean it was a waste of time.
from then to now
if youâre going to make media featuring abandoned asylums/mental institutions or whatever, any horror elements you include should be focused explicitly on terrible, inhumane treatment of residents, not how âcreepyâ or âderangedâ mentally ill people are.
also stop using imagery of things like empty wheelchairs alone in dark hallways to signify the âspooky abandoned asylumâ vibe. wheelchairs are important tools used by disabled people and should not be there to signify badness.
Nick isnât too physical a guy, but he still can pull off a few sly manoeuvres
honestly just look at this idle animation i love whoever animated this 10/10
âAPPRECIATION POST: Cronk and Zephyr
why did the cake is a lie become the like most quoted portal thing when literally everything glados said was funnierÂ
âLook, we both said a lot of things that *youâre* going to regret.â
âMaybe you should marry that thing since you love it so much. Do you want to marry it. WELL I WONT LET YOU. how does that feel?â
âNice job breaking it, heroâ
âLook at you. sailing through the air majestically. Like an eagleâŚpiloting a blimpâ
Like this bitch had a goldmine of good lines
âMaybe after you finish this test, Iâll let you take the elevator all the way up to the break room⌠and Iâll tell you about the time I saw the deer again.â
âItâs a mystery Iâll have to solve later. By myself. Because youâll be dead.â
âDid you know that people with guilty consciences are more easily startled by loud noiseâ * really loud ass train horn* âIâm sorry, I donât know why that went off. Anyway, just an interesting science fact.âÂ
âWell done. Here come the test results: You are a horrible person. Iâm serious, thatâs what it says: A horrible person. We werenât even testing for that.â
âDonât let that âhorrible personâ thing discourage you. Itâs just a data point. If it makes you feel any better, science has now validated your birth motherâs decision to abandon you on a doorstep.â
âRemember before when I was talking about smelly garbage standing around being useless? That was a metaphor. I was actually talking about you. And Iâm sorry. You didnât react at the time, so I was worried it sailed right over your head. Which would have made this apology seem insane. Thatâs why I had to call you garbage a second time just now.â
âWait. This next test DOES require some explanation. Let me give you the fast version- [unintelligible] There. If you have any questions, just remember what I said in slow motion. Test on your own recognizance, Iâll be right back.â
âThis next test involves turrets. You remember them, right? Theyâre the pale spherical things that are full of bullets. Oh wait. Thatâs you in five seconds. Good luck.â
âThat jumpsuit youâre wearing looks stupid. Thatâs not me talking, itâs right here in your file. On other people it looks fine, but right here a scientist has noted that on you it looks stupid. Well, what does a neck-bearded old engineer know about fashion? He probably - Oh, wait. Itâs a she. Still, what does she know? Oh wait, it says she has a medical degree. In fashion! From France!â
âOh, hi. How are you holding up? Because Iâm a POTATO.â
âRemember, these exhibits ARE interactive. Like a childrenâs museum. So that means the pits of acid are filled with REAL acid. Like at a WELL FUNDED childrenâs museum.â
âFederal regulations require me to warn you that this next test chamberâŚ. is looking pretty good.â
Iâve heard they actually had to rewrite a lot of her dialogue for the early part of Portal 2 to be more ridiculous and petty, as it was actually so on-point and vicious it was making playtesters not want to play the game.

Controversial opinion, but ur allowed to like things that suck
Like, sometimes there are just shows or books that are so goddamn awful for any number of reasons⌠But ya still like âem somehow, and thatâs fine
Itâs not required to write a 20+ page essay defending why you enjoy something shitty, you can just⌠Enjoy shitty things
Not all content is made equally and youâre allowed to like things that are far from perfect
Like, just, âThis show sucks, but I like it anywayâ is a totally valid response
