OK so like imagine a Sly Cooper reboot but now the heights and sizes are more accurate to the type of animal they are. All I'm saying is that give me that Sly Cooper and Carmelita size difference

If there’s never another piece of official Sly Cooper content ever made again? Fine. Legitimately, that’s fine! I still have the original games, and I still have the profound impact they’ve had on me as a creator. I’m not about to lose that - in fact, I probably can’t. So if my all-time favourite thing is confined to three very above average Playstation 2 games, and a small fistful of other stuff, I’ll live.

But this years-long fuckin dance

is exhausting.

Like any grieving parent, all I want is closure. Stop telling me there’s going to be new Sly Cooper content. Let me mentally and emotionally adjust to his passing, please.

So I was watching Queer Eye...and I heard the Sly2 Paris theme??? Season 4 Episode 3: Stoner Skates By.

It's the thieves in time paris music, but yeah--thats one of the peter McConnell tracks that gets licensed around a lot! It was in The Loud House as well a while back. Apparently peter gets residuals every time it turns up in a show, so good for him.

Thanks for pointing out that this was from Sly 4 not 2. After listening to it again and pulling up the Paris theme from 4 I can see the difference now. I knew there was just something a little off about the Queer Eye clip but I couldn’t figure out what. For some reason I just completely forgot that there was a Paris level in Sly 4....I played Sly 2 so much as a kid my brain just made up for the inconsistencies and assumed that it had to be from 2.

I really gotta go back and replay all these to get my music right.

you know, I was going to complain about how grabbing clue bottles alerts guards in sly 2, but it actually kinda makes sense now I think about it. like, you gotta be sneaky and get them without being heard and all

Yeah that use to really frustrate me.

I think park of the charm of Sly 2 is that it lets you figure it out for yourself. I really like how the game doesn’t hold your hand through a forced tutorial. That’s why the training room in Sly3 is so disliked.

Replaying Thievius Raccoonus and I just anger-muscled my way in Murray's first race cause I did not want to be there any longer.

Also used my loses and restarts to imagine Murray beating the snot out of the Mariachi band to get the key alternatively.

Beating the shit out of the Mariachi band would have been much easier and much more enjoyable than racing those soulless, god forsaken monkeys.

So during my intitial playthrough of Sly 2 (first Sly Cooper game I played) I forced myself to have a crush on Sly because that’s who all the girls in the fandom were into I guess and also my younger sister and cousin forced themselves to like Bentley and Murray, respectively, so the three of us could hold a mass wedding in my pool when summer came.

There was a mock wedding, but when the time came for the “real thing”, I had realized my heart belonged to Arpeggio and the Mass Cooper Gang Pool Wedding of 2009 never happened.

It’s been awhile but I finished this like I said I would! Sometimes I do things I say I will, I promise. This image came into fruition when I realized us Sly fandom people have a Strange Obsession™ with ripping off characters arms and replacing them with robot parts. What’s with us.

Carmelita is based on @prowl-mun & @galatic-dragoness fic “The Cost”, Arpeggio is from my own Anthro!Survived!Dad AU, and Survived!BigStronkLesbian!Neyla is an AU version from @mx-kit ! I don’t think Carm had many specifics, but I tried to base this Neyla design on Kit’s design. Though I added my shoulder furs on accident due to habit OOPSIES.

Also included some alts with less intense shading just to see them. ENJOY PEEPS!
