So pretty. I still don’t even feel like I deserve to have this on my desk, if that makes sense.

I love keyboards. They provide the tactile feedback that makes using a computer just feel a little bit special, and a great keyboard really enhances the experience. I bought this Qisan Magicforce 60% with the matching ten-key so that I could (finally) invert the ten-key the way I like it. It’s a fantastic board, and a joy to type on. The Gateron blues are perfect in every way. I seriously cannot gush enough about this keyboard. I have annoyed literally anyone who will listen to me talk about it, and I’m not even sorry.

I use the ten-key with my left hand, so that I don’t have to lift off the mouse, and sitting with my left hand cross-body to use the ten-key on the right side of the desk was super awkward. This feels so much more comfortable and natural than I would’ve thought. I expected a little learning curve because the position of my left hand is completely different, but there really wasn’t any. I highly recommend trying it this way.

The cable is severely deteriorated from age, but this Model M is so mint, otherwise!

I’m going to be replacing the cable soon, cleaning the gutters, and getting this glorious IBM back to work in front of my retro build. Stay tuned.

Return to form, and some new things!

Wow, it has been a long time. So, some broad updates: I moved, fell in love, graduated, changed careers, moved back to my hometown, changed back to the tech field, and here we are.

So what’s happening from here?

I’m back to tech, I’ve gotten heavy into gaming again, and this blog is my outlet. I mostly play retro games, and I want you guys to follow my nostalgic journeys through old games. You’ll see a lot more original content going forward, not so much just reblogging.

what she means: if in shrek 2, fiona's parents are the king and queen of the land, how come lord farquad has the governmental power in the first movie? surely when you think about it, the kingdom of far far away, shrek's swamp, lord farquad's city, and fiona's tower are all within walking distance - shrek and donkey make it from the swamp to the castle to fiona's tower in a matter of days, all on foot, so it is a small area of land we're talking about. so who is this lord farquad, and does he have any relation to the king and queen? was his and fiona's wedding incest?? or was he doing something illegal unbeknownst to the kingdom?? is lord farquad's city of Duloc it's own country, much like the vatican is of italy?? does shrek's swamp fall into duloc, or the kingdoms territory? was Lord Farquad illegally using the land when he dumped the fairytale creatures there??? who creates these legislative policies??? is there a governmental force bigger than both the kingdom and duloc???? how many layers does lord farquad have?????

you know what i dont understand?? 

why dont adults have sleepovers or spoon with their platonic friends or hang out until sunrise?? when are you supposed to stop putting your head in a random friends lap and telling them to play with your hair?? when do we stop going to the grocery store together and spending the night at each others places and crowding as many of our friends onto our beds as possible so we can snuggle and gossip?

i dont want a house in the suburbs i want an place in the city with a bunch of my pals and dogs where we hang out in the kitchen and dogpile on the couch if one of us is sad

I totally feel this post. All of my friends are getting married and growing distant, and I hate it. I miss my friends.
