Tamara Fox, I'll always mourn how DC dropped the ball with you 😭
She was such a cool girlfriend and also a character
Seriously, I wish she'd be reintroduced as a side character at least. I love the fox family, and they feel wasted

Despite my criticism on more than a few points, in very little space Watters and Brombal both gave Kory a voice that intrigues me. They both know she's extremely wise, but also the way she words her phrases is incredibly lyrical. I could listen to Kory talk about her philosophy on every single thing and never get tired.
I'm very curious what Watters and Brombal could have wrote for her if they were allowed more space, complete freedom and the editorial not breathing down their necks constantly when it comes to Kory. Tate said that Kory was out of his control, that every aspect depends entirely on higher ups, so we won't see writers being given complete creative freedom for Kory anytime soon, which is a tragedy. Placing any limits in fiction, in a fictional world, is ridiculous in itself and no amount of excuses could explain such an immature decision. But hopefully someday that will change... ❤️🩹
rewatched my favorite parts of Titans: Judas Contract lol… Nightwing and Starfire are so good
"I need you" slipping from Dick ☹️💔 You can tell Brombal had that editorial gun constantly at his temple writing like
Does anyone know fanartists who do commissions? Desperately need a Helena Bertinelli version of this. AFRO ITALIAN HELENA
Ohhh, they're so normal about Kory
Dickbabs fans are either incels who hate gorgeous women, or unattractive/average girls who hate gorgeous women/the hot girl who got their crush. Idc damn near every dickbabs fan I've seen basically bleeds this out of their pores.
It's like reading y/n core where the extremely good looking, rich and perfect guy overlooks the literal super model for the average nerd who chews off her fingernails and always has her nose in a book. Not happening.
The Starfire cosplayer she's so cute 🥹💞
fans of some🌚 pairing are very fond of saying that everyone who loves dickkory is just a larpers who doesn't read comics, and then they themselves call Dick and Kory's relationship frivolous and an "affair"
are these "frivolous relationships" in the same room with us right now? are we really talking about the same pairing??
But I was told all DC writers hate Kory and no one wants to write her 😒🤔
Reviewers comparing Kory and Dick to Mary Jane and Spider-Man, the people are truly clocking DC's loser ass omg 😭
it really annoys me when people say, "I love dickkory, but it's better for them to be exes/this relationship wouldn't last long because they don't let Kory live the way she wants." well.. how exactly, for example? how did this relationship hold her back? did Dick forbid her to do what she wanted? or do you mean their conflict over the murders? Dick was supportive of Kory and always gave her freedom, even when it came to issues where their opinions differed. he literally left her on Tamaran after her wedding because he thought she wanted it. is that how he's holding her back?
"he would never accept her culture" what makes you think that??
why do people absolutely deny the development of a relationship? why don't people think that Dick and Kory would have changed in their future relationship? for ourselves and for each other. no one stands still, especially in a relationship, especially like Dick and Kory's, because they've ALREADY changed. they both made mistakes in this relationship, and almost always after a while (usually not for long) they realized these mistakes, admitted them and apologized. and they really didn't do that anymore.
Dick and Kory's relationship has always been about overcoming difficulties and making positive changes for each other. they changed, they made mistakes and admitted mistakes, they got better, both of them. so why do people think that if they continued the relationship, they would stop developing?
Meanwhile, Dick's current ship regressed both him and babs in all the worst ways and brought out the worst in eachother until Tom wrote them completely ooc.
People also say dickkory won't work because she'd have to stay on earth. Okay? They haven't been together I'm years, and Kory has still been on earth?
"If you ignore the Kory bashing Nightwing Y1 is actually good", "If you ignore Kory being cheated on Nightwing annual 2 is cute" all of you losers are never beating the allegations because you couldn't care less about Kory or how she was treated in favour of that trash ship.
I’ve been wanting to draw these two for soooo long, especially Starfire🤭
You enter a "Kory and Dick should have been happily married for more than 30 years at this point" competition but George Perez is already there ☹️😭❤️🩹
And you know what, speaking of Superboy Prime, at some point we may need to interrogate why “violent, misanthropic white man gets forgiven and praised for his growth after apologizing in a way that specifically does not invalidate his masculinity” is such a popular, quickly latched-onto narrative.
And perhaps we should interrogate who that narrative is for.
Damian has literally been sent to hell. Tara has been treated like...Tara by basically every narrative she has ever been in. To this day, people still refuse to acknowledge their growth, their nuance, or the lack of agency baked into their circumstances.
But then you get a willing, spiteful mass murderer who spends five dubious minutes posing as less of an asshole, and suddenly he is the freshest, hottest concept in comics. We simply must root for him. We must celebrate his growth. We must ignore the continuity of his crimes. And if you point out that he has, in fact, done horrific things on purpose, suddenly you’re “taking comics too seriously.”
Interesting.
Redemption arcs are not the problem. Growth is not the problem. Characters with blood on their hands becoming better is not the problem.
The problem is how quickly some fans recognize humanity, nuance, pain, and potential in a violent white male power fantasy, while treating characters like Damian, Talia, Tara, and plenty of others as permanently defined by their worst context, their worst writing, or their least charitable interpretation. Even Diana suffers from this and she didn't even really do anything wrong--
What could possibly cause people to project so hard into that archetype?
In this political climate?
Truly, we can only wonder...
