Miss Shinkai is kind, extroverted and feels pretty lonely since her husband works abroad (this is the explanation I came up with for Haru's dad to never appear in the whole series while his mom ((aparently)) doesn't have a job). She's very happy that haru made another friend and wants to be her friend which makes her mission easier but makes her uncomfortable since she's not used to socializing.

So, about episode 32...

I was very excited the whole week for this episode and it didn't disappoint me! I was surprised Panjyamon wasn't Maki's original partner, but his spirit was as good as one. I knew he was 1000% dead-dead as soon as the episode started, but I still felt sad watching his death scene.

Maki wanting to kill the baby digimon that was originally the murderer she was after was predictable, but what I wasn't expecting was Tomoro stopping her - I thought she would stop by herself or Kyo would stop her. That was a really good development for him, that wanted to do the same in the first few episodes. I'm so proud of our boy ;-;

There was an interview that said we would see a younger Kyo in this episode, and well, he was technically younger there lol but I was expecting another design. Either way, Maki refers to Glowing Dawn as a whole (or just Tomoro and Kyo) as "those children" - she sees them as hope for the future, and considering her age, she probably sees Kyo as another kid, which is pretty cute.

Small observation, but damn GIFT has many members! And they are all freakin' creepy just like an irl cult, the vibe was immaculate over their scenes. I wonder how this particular part of the conflict is going to be resolved - even if GD defeats GIFT, it won't change the mind of all those people.

Miharu being the mastermind behind GIFT wasn't a surprise but damn I was caught off-guard by her partner - jesus christ they really went with Mephismon. I'm impressed and at the same time a bit disappointed because it surely will paint the impression of GIFT being the bad guys instead of well-intentioned extremists in the gray area.
