Japanese Spider-Man (1978)

Takuya Yamashiro is a 22 year old motocross racer who sees a UFO crash to Earth. It is a space warship called “Marveller” from the planet “Spider”. His father, space archaeologist (obviously <.<) investigates, but is killed on finding the ship.

Takuya follows his father and finds the last survivor of Spider, Garia, who gives him a special Spider-bracelet which gives him special powers and the ability to control the ship and turn it into a giant robot called Leopardon (…so basically a Zord).

He becomes Spider-Man.

He uses his powers to fight the evil Professor Monster and his evil Iron Cross army, who are evil aliens trying to rule the universe… evil.

Screw Peter Parker. Spider-Man is a Power Ranger. Of course.

I’m pretty sure this is both ridiculous and amazing.
