Who doesn’t love book cafe?
This is simply the best thing I've seen in a while. I'm not ashamed to be a YA fan by any means. I talk up YA authors like some people talk up their favorite cars or shows. And what a great week for The Darkest Minds to be released in theaters! Shout Out to the cast, crew, and most of all to Alexandra Bracken, for bringing us phenomenal set of characters to love (and love to hate!) . #YAweek

A New Way of Reading?
If you’ve been on here alately, you know I’m a reader. I read a ll type of things. Usually, it’s young adult, but lately, I’ve been branching out a bit. I have been reading with a bit of difference lately.
One of my latest discoveries is that I like word choice. Between Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s metaphoric and poetic type prose, Margret Atwood’s minimalist approach to story telling, I have to admit that I alm almost overstimulated in the word department.
Zafon paints a very vivid picture. Whether he’s describing the streets of Barcelona, Spain, or telling us how much the main character loves a book, he just drags you into the story. And before you know it, you’ve read for a lot longer than you realize. That is the kind of writing I have come to love. I’ve changed because that type of stuff never used to matter to me. Now I love it.
Atwood on the other hand tels a story in a very different way that I find equally intriguing because it is lacking in the description, but the way she writes instead, leaves you less confused than you might think. Instead, she chooses just the right words to give you the ideas she is trying to get across.
I am loving the new way I look at a book I am reading. I look for word choice, and style. And in the case of Atwood and Zafon, their individiuals styles actually lends thmeselves to the stories they are telling. I am going to be paying more attention to the stylein which my favorite authors and new authors write.
Today the last ones arrived 😍😅so as of now I have three books I need to read the following two weeks because other people wants them too… like how am I possibly going to have the time for it….?
Considering the 2 ginormous Library books I have, I feel your pain, fellow bookworm!!
“All in the golden afternoon, full leisurely we glide.”
-Lewis Carroll
Couldn't not share Carroll
“He never went out without a book under his arm, and he often came back with two.”
— Victor Hugo, Les Misérables.
I don't know which character this is, but find me a guy like that in real life and maybe I'll rethink the dating thing.
“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.” —Charles William Eliot
When you find the third book in a trilogy you were working on for less than half the price of the first 2 books. And manage to snag the second to last copy of a brand new book of an author you love.
It’s been so long since I’ve posted! There are some exciting things happening with #Stain, my #gothicfairytale, which is great news (that I hope to share soon) but it’s taken up a bit of my time, especially since I’m juggling edits for #TheGlassButterfly, too. ••• Speaking of, here’s a glimpse of my #newadult #historicalromance’s #interior #artwork. It’s always fun to see how the inside will look. August 15th is so close now! ••• 🦋🎠👻 ••• #bookdesign #newadult #historicalromance #bookstagram #bookworm #paranormal #aghoward #prettybooks #butterfly #aesthetics #hauntedheartslegacy #bookstagram #bookworm #booktag #carousel #ghoststories #mystery
I love your work, A.G. So excited for new books from both of you!!

Since I couldn’t go to YallWest this year, I decided to have my own book festival in the form of looking for discount ways to get books I wanted. Here is the haul I came up with for this month. (Also I apologize to those of you who follow me and are waiting for me to consistently post again... I promise I am working on some good stuff!)
Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-Thon
Okay okay, I’m way late starting this month’s read-a-thon, but sometimes you just have to do things on your own terms. I’m so excited. This morning I am starting with finishing up The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert. I’ve been slowly falling in love with this book with every chapter I read!
Good Sunday morning! What are y’all reading today??
When you fall asleep reading but remember to mark the page
Been there done that.
