Babe wasn’t entirely sure where he was.. Well, he knew where he was, he just didn’t know what this place was. It was incredibly eerie if you asked him, the atmosphere was really intense, and he was just exploring.. Hadn’t run into anything.. Until now.. What sounded like heavy metal boots slamming against the ground was more enough to get his attention, gun held close to his side, he watched curiously until what appeared to be a giant divers suit turned the corner. “What the fuck--” Voice laced with hesitation as he mumbled to himself, you could tell he was questioning his own vision- No- Sanity.

Walking amongst what used to be a building, Babe couldn’t help the curiosity that overwhelmed him when he heard a small noise from the pile of rubble. He felt it necessary to investigate, and when he found the source, he nearly hated himself for doing so. It was a kitten. A sigh escaped his lips as he picked up the small creature, certainly he felt sorry for it, but he had enough to deal with, on one hand he didn’t want to let it die, but he also knew that if he took it, there was a good chance it would just die in his care.. The thought of this was enough to make him sick. Picking up the kitten, he stuffed it gently in the pocket of his jacket, maybe he’d find some other poor sod who’d be willing to take it off his hands.

For the majority of the day, he went around asking people if they’d take it off his hands, but everyone so far declined his offers, seeing as they were busy and really didn’t have the time to deal with the feline, they had the war to deal with.. He couldn’t blame them.. This didn’t mean he was going to give up, he’d just have to keep searching for someone who would take it.. And if he didn’t.. Well.. Good luck, kitty cat.

Most of Easy company was currently sitting and relaxing in what was once home to an entire town.. Now it was just ruins, buildings crumbling under their own weight, furniture littering the streets, and bricks scattered everywhere, you could hardly get anywhere in these conditions. Fortunately, the sole notion that their could be treasures drove one soldier to have a bit of fun with this particular visit. Ordinarily, he wouldn’t bother with doing this, simply because the buildings were occupied and hospitable in the last few places they visited, but since this wasn’t the case he thought perhaps he should try to distract himself.

An hour of scavenging, he hit the jackpot. The fact that nobody else had already found this baffled him, and despite wanting to keep it to himself, he couldn’t help but share it with someone, it was just too good. The only person he could see who wasn’t currently occupied was surprisingly Liebgott. Sure he didn’t talk with the guy all that much, but he didn't care.

Wearing a top hat and holding what appeared to be a spiffy pipe, he delivered a tap to his friend’s shoulder, “Hey Joe, wanna see some cool shit I found?”

Winning a bet not only brings satisfaction, but also the spoils that accompany it. A pack of cigarettes, a bar of chocolate, and an incredibly good mood. Now, he’d been saving the chocolate for a rainy day, but when he saw his little friend loitering outside a building, he thought perhaps he could spare a few pieces. After all, chocolate was considered a luxury and Mutt hasn’t had many of those.

Scooting himself over to his friend, very inconspicuously I might add, he held out the bar, “Thought ya might like a few pieces,” A smile laced itself on his features as he offered a wink.

Callus fingers slid smoothly over the indents of the firearm, a habit formed by the tension, though it wasn’t necessarily a bad one, just a little something to keep his hands busy.. He had nothing else to do other than wait for something to happen, which was always stressful.. Not like he hadn’t dealt with it in the past, you never get used to it, it was just something you had to cope with.

Despite how tense he felt, he didn’t flinch when someone slid themselves into the foxhole he currently occupied. At first, not a sound left his lips aside from his course breathing, he knew exactly who decided to pay him a visit but he didn’t even attempt acknowledge her, was that rude? He didn’t care, had it been anyone else he would’ve done the same. It was entirely up to her whether or not she wished to talk..
