Gypsy Love Spell!

This is an old folk spell my Romani ancestors used in Transylvania that’s been passed through my family. This in no way implies that Gypsies do magick for Gypsy is a racial term used to categorize the Romani people. I am simply a supporter of the idea of taking back the name “Gypsy” and turning into a category that I am proud to be apart of. My family in particular took after a lot of witches and were very superstitious. Keep that in mind before you thin I this is racist and unresearched, for a lot of my practice a are of Romani folk and witch decent. ~☆~

The Waxing Moon is a perfect time to cast love spells. The moon strengthens each night as the Waxing Moon nears the Full Moon which makes it perfect time for spells that revolves around love and the increasing of something (wealth and good vibes for example). So here I’m gonna show you a quick and easy Waxing Moon love spell!

Materials -1 candlestick (any colour) -Selenite -Piece of paper -Marker (any colour) -Lipstick (any colour) -Object (this has to be symbolic to your relationship with the person you are casting the spell on. This can be a ring, a book, a feather, etc.) -Red string -Rose petals (optional) -Rose Quartz (optional) ~☆~

Tip: This ritual must be done at sunset.

First you take your purified candlestick and, at the top, carve the name whomever you are casting this spell on. You can carve symbols into the candle to make it more meaningful and to transfer some of your energies into the candle.

On the piece of paper, repeat the name at the top of the paper and then begin listing what you want for and from this person. Love and friendship are a good example of what you want from them while success and wealth is what you would want for them. Once you are finished with the list, fold it twice. Assuming you’ve already applied the lipstick to your lips, blot them on the edge of the paper so that there is a single lip print on both sides. Now kiss both sides of the paper underneath the first lip print. Both sides of the folder paper should be relatively symetrical now.

Take your candle set it over the paper (I personally like to set a small plate underneath my candle). You may set rose petals and Rose Quartz around your candle before you light it.

In front of your lot candle, place your selenite before it and place your object on top of your selenite (or vise versa). Having done this, sit (or lay, do whatever you prefer) and begin meditating. Focus on this person, imagine their name in different fonts. Skim through every memory, good and bad. Stare at the flame. Notice how it flickers and damces as your breathe their name. Fall in love with the sound of it. Allow ever background noise to become nature’s song as you focus. Take as long as you need with this and decide for yourself when you’re done. For some of you, the candle may have already finished. If that is the case good job! Now set the object (with the selenite) on top of the paper and set it in view of the moon. For those of you who still have a burning candle, try to find the name, if the candle’s already burned past it, you may carry on to placing your object in the moon light as states above. If the name is still visible, continue burning until the name is home or the candle dies (you do not need to continue meditating as this happens). When you achieve this, you may do as stated above.

Finally, at the peak of midnight, tie a string around the object and whisper “Red is my love and red is my heart, lucky in love, never keep us apart.” And leave the object over night. In the morning (or whenever you can) give this object to said person and have them carry it around for 8 to 25 hours (whichever is more doable for you). Once the hours have ended, burn the list and scatter the ashes in the earth.

“Backfire” Curse-Repelling Enchantment

An enchantment that rebounds a curse thrown at you, throws it back twice as hard at the person who cursed you, and ensures that it doesn’t come back to you.

What You’ll Need

Some accessory you always wear

A bowl

Rosemary

A black candle

Black salt

Full moon water

What To Do

Lay a circle of black salt around your bowl.

Put your candle behind the bowl in the circle and light it.

Place your accessory in the bowl.

Pour the moon water over it the accessory.

Stir the water clockwise with the rosemary and say/think “With this enchantment every curse thrown at me will be bounced back to the sender twice as hard as it was thrown and does not come back to me.” as many times as you wish.

Blow out your candle, dry off your accessory, and wear it.

To recharge hold and say/think “Curses on me backfire on to the sender.”

These spells are inspired by spells from the Harry potter series, I have taken the Key word and from it written a spell or ritual. Some of these are figurative whilst others do similar to the original spell

Lumos - A ritual to ‘light up your world’

You will need:

3 white candles

Incense of your choice (optional)

Moon water

Method:

Light your 3 candles and incense (I suggest mulk or Madagascan Vanilla)

Fill up a bowl with moon water (if you don’t have enough you can mix this with normal water too.

Splash yourself with the water 3 times.

Take a few moments or whatever feels right to think about happiness and what you hope to achieve.

Then slowly blow out each candle whispering “lumos”

Nox - A curse to bring darkness into someones life

You will need:

A white candle

A piece of paper

Red pen

Method:

Write on your piece of paper the victim(s’) name in red pen. Over this draw an X

Fold your paper in half

Quickly light your candle and set the piece of paper alight

Blow out the candle whilst whispering “nox”

Alohomara - Unlock new opportunities

You will need:

Opalite

Green candle

wand

Rose or moon water (in a spray bottle or easy to sprinkle)

Method:

Cast a circle with your wand

Light your green candle placing the opalite in front of it

Sprinkle yourself with some rose or moon water then point you wand

Close your eyes and say “alohomara” whilst giving it a small flick

Accio - Good luck tea

You will need:

Chamomile tea

Mug + spoon

Amethyst

Sugar (optional)

Method:

In cold water, place your (clean amethyst) whilst the kettle is boiling. To make amethyst infused water

Once the kettle is boiled fill a mug with water and your chamomile tea bag

Stir your tea clockwise and add your preferred amount of sugar

Drink up whilst thinking “accio”

Expelliarmus ~ Disarming charm

To protect yourself against curses and therefore disarm those who try

Little claircognizance things

- Getting a really bad feeling about someone right before they say something morally questionable

- The irresistible urge to put something in your backpack you swear you won’t need; if you don’t bring the Thing you always need it later

- An odd scenario pops up in your head; you shrug it off, wondering why you imagine these weird things. Later said situation or elements of it come back to haunt you

Witchy ideas for things to do during the super blue blood moon

This is a list of different items of things you can do for the  super blue blood moon on January 31 2018:

You could meditate.

You could go through the process of finding your spirit guides.

You could make moon water, or in this case super blue blood moon water.

You could use divination to connect with spirit guides, spirit companions, ancestors, deities, and your higher self, along with any other type of spiritual being.

Perform a cleansing ritual to cleanse the area that you live in.

Take this time to do healing spells or rituals in the healing, nurturing, energy of the moon.

Take this time to send positive energy to people who you believe needs it.

Perform initiation ceremonies, or begin, and end trials of initiation.

It will be a good time to do energy work, and to open up your energy centers.

If you are attuned to reiki you can perform a self reiki treatment and send out reiki to people who you believe need it, and who are open to receiving it.

Charge your crystals, and tools in the moonlight in order to charge them with its energies.

It would also be a good idea to make tools during this time, so that they would be infused with the energies of the moon.

You could send out curses to your enemies with the power of the moon.

You could do Shadow work in order to better communicate with your shadow-self.

You could work on letting something go that has been bothering you or has not been serving you.

You can work on strengthening your emotions, and learn to feel into them.

You could work on strengthening any of your psychic abilities from the claires to any form of kinesis.

You could go through the process of creating thought-forms and allow their creation to be enhanced by the energies of the moon.

You could take this time to set up wards, shields, and other forms of protections in areas were you feel it is necessary.

You can reflect on the past, and then look forward to the future.

You could use the inspiration of the moon to help you create sigils, and to help charge them.

You could  practice, or attempt astral projection, and astral travel.

You could worship, or give an offering to your deity.

You could worship, or give an offering to your the moon.

You could perform dream work which should be greatly enhanced because of all the  Energies around.

You could do spells, and rituals to banish entities, or energies from  your life your space.

1. Use a dried bay leaf, using a fresh bay leaf is not going to work.

Tools:

A flower pot A hollowed egg shell, kept intact Healthy soil Dandelion seed Hair cut from the subject Water

Fill the shell with soil, and gently bury it at bottom of the pot. Sprinkle in the hair and seed, then blanket it with a final layer of soil. Moisten it with water and intone these words,

♡Sea Glass in Magick ♡

While I had gone to the beach with my best friend, a fellow witch who actually introduced me to the craft, I was looking along the sand to see if I discovered any items I could use for future spells. This is how I stumbled upon my first piece of sea glass and felt drawn to bring it home. However, I had never seen magick been done with sea glass and was unsure of how I could use it. So after some research, I discovered some uses for it. 

The Elements

When you think about it, sea glass embodies many of the elements. Not only is glass forged by earth and fire, but sea glass is also then worn down by the powerful waves of the sea which can be further worn down depending if the water is salt water. Sea glass can be a good addition to the collection of an elemental witch, or simply to be used in a spell which requires the elements. 

Energy

Sea glass holds the strong energy of the ocean within it, being rounded by the waves and experiencing the ocean’s power allows it to be an object of power. With this being noted, sea glass can be considered to be an object worth being used in enchantments and other spells. It is charged with the power of the ocean after all. If you feel that it has lost its charge, bring it back to the ocean to give it back that strong charge it once had. 

Please be careful when recharging sea glass in the ocean though, for it can be easily lost if carelessly dealt with. A good idea would be to collect some of the ocean water in a jar and keep it at home to be able to put your sea glass within this jar whenever it needs charging.

Amphitrite: Sea goddess and consort of Poseidon; Queen of the sea

Cymopoleia: A daughter of Poseidon and goddess of giant storm waves

Galene: Goddess of calm seas

Poseidon: Olympian god of the sea, king of the sea gods. 

Sea glass can be associated with other sea deities of different pantheons as well. 

Scrying

Many use sea glass for scrying whether it be looking into the glass itself. Sea glass is associated with the element of water allows for it to be good for intuition and psychic ventures.

Runes

Sea glass is good to be used for a rune set, you can use a sharpie, paint, etc. to mark the runes on them. These runes would be especially good for a sea witch or an elemental witch due to sea glass being associated with the elements of water, earth, and fire.

NOTES:

Cycle of Death is a metaphor for change and renewal- for rebirth

Cycle of Life is a metaphor for learning and growing from experience

The Circle is a metaphor for the constant push and pull, up and down of life- of the good and bad.

Place a black onyx at your root or crown chakras, and bloodstone at the other chakra. Black onyx represents death as transformation and change while the bloodstone represents life and how its troubles ground us

Lighting white and black candles for the ritual may also work to represent the forces of life and death. I personally believe white to be death, and black to be life- as black traditionally was worn to celebrate the life the dead had lived, and not morn it; white, on the other hand, was always traditionally worn for transformation reasons, which death is often associated with. Though, feel free to represent the two how you will.

Basically, the spell is symbolic of self-renewal by rebirth (death) of energy and growing (life) from the stressful experience; and the circle is meant to remind you of this, thus relieving you of the stress upon the realization.

You are welcomed to use other ingredients and materials that best fit you; after all, my suggestions are just suggestions.
