motivation. drive. inspiration. enthusiasm. initiative. determination. all of these i had been lacking recently. not in a super depressed way, just that i got stuck going through the motions and got so caught up in getting schoolwork done, going to work, going to after school activities, etc. etc. etc. i stopped doing good for myself and stopped working to improve my personal life. i became stagnant until i started to say i am going to do something about this. and thats the first step.
don't just think about it. do it. recognize that there is a problem and make a plan to solve. for me it has been about balance. i shouldn't neglect schoolwork or other important things for me time, but i still need to work on improving myself. part of this was taking time to relax, which you can read more about in my post from last week. honestly, it began with a clean room. i needed to organize my space before i could organize my life; it just gave the feeling of a fresh start.
try to find more happiness in the little things. i made myself a '2015 memories' jar and make it a point to write down little things that made me laugh or smile, fun things i did.
surround yourself with positivity. "you're the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with". make sure you have friends who bring out the best in you. i have pictures on my wall of memories with friends, and quotes that inspire me to help keep me motivated.
do your body some good. this has been a big one for me lately. yes, i am a pretty thin person and i look healthy, however i know my habits aren't the best, so i've started being more active and eating better. the key for me was finding exercise i enjoyed; i've started walking, doing yoga, and rock climbing more often. eating wise, i'm a huge snacker, sometimes when i'm bored, when i'm tired,or when something just looks tasty! i've tried to snack less, and when i do snack i've been trying to stick to granola bars and fruit.
learn something new. do something that makes you happy. try something you've never done before, or expand on a talent you already have. i love photography, and hadn't been taking as many pictures as i used to. i've started taking my camera with me more often, and trying to learn more and more about how to get the perfect shot.
learn to say no. you don't have time for everything. don't overwork yourself. missing one day of hanging out with your friends is not the end of the world. take a nap instead of going to the mall. get ahead on homework instead of going out for dinner. i'm not saying become distant or uninvolved, but manage your time wisely and don't put too much on your plate.
above all i think balance is key. find what works for you and start living the life you want to live.

on the masterpost, for some reason the google drive folder with the movies isnt working for me :(
hmm..well it looks like the link is right, it's working for me anyway. Are you having trouble getting to the folder or playing the videos once you are in the folder? If it's the latter, sometimes Google Drive takes a few tries to get longer videos to load.
Also, if there's a certain movie you're looking for just let me know and I can help you out!

hey lovelies! we all get stressed and busy at some (or many) points in our life. however busy you may be, taking time to relax will do you well. there are many reasons why you need to de-stress, which you can read more about here. but today I wanted to share with you how I like to relax. enjoy!
set the mood. get comfy and cozy! for me, candles always seem to set the tone right. i love autumn wreath and sugared apple from yankee candle. both of these candles, you'll notice, are from the autumn/winter collections, and as much as i hate the cold, i love the smells and memories of the holidays. another sort of christmas-y item that always put me in a calm mood is fairy lights. i actually leave mine up year round and turn them on often.
listen to relaxing music. music is a huge part of my life, and certain songs really do help me relax. make a playlist sometime of songs to help de-stress. birdy is one of my favorite artists to chill out to, and i also love acoustic versions of fun.'s songs. there are also several playlists on tumblr you can find- here are some of my favorites! inhale, exhale by xfactorera and with rain by wastedteens . just sounds can be a great relaxer too- see more in the next section. and everyone has those songs, specific to them that just calm them down.
online resources. here are some good online resources for peace and quiet. the quiet place project is an awesome resource and has many ways to reassure you and relieve stress- the thoughts room, the comfort spot, 90 sec relax, dawn room, and it will be okay. if you like guided relaxation calm.com is great for that. calm.com will also just play relaxing sounds/music. soundrown has a variety of peaceful sounds you can layer. i waves, as well as layering rain and coffee shop.
food. speaking of a coffee shop, hot drinks are great for relaxing. i don't know about coffee, but herbal teas are very soothing. chocolate has dopamine in it, which makes one feel happy.
take a hot bath or shower. hot water is always soothing to me, and i am a big fan of baths. of course, i always shower first so i'm clean and not just sitting in my own dirt. bath bombs have become a favorite of mine lately, and i especially love lush's products. some of my favorite bath bombs are phoenix rising and tisty tosty. i also love the gift box one they have around the holidays (pictured below), which i believe is the same scent as golden slumbers. i get more excited about bath bombs than i probably should, haha. there is almost always a surprise in the lush ones! 4 layers of colors, like fireworks, and a burst of golden stars came out of my christmas gift bomb!
exercise. yoga and pilates are great to take your mind off things. here are some great yoga poses, specifically for stress relief.
do nothing. i mean it! just relax. turn your phone on airplane mode, lay on your bed or bath and just lay there. 20 minutes of relaxation will help you feel so much better and will help you be more productive if you still have stuff to do.

so this is awkward...
sooo it' s been awhile...what happened?
no we didn't fall off the edge of the earth (1. we're not lemmings 2. the earth is round 3. we actually fell down a well and got eaten by alligators. betcha thought this would be clever and punny but no this is also a place for serious discussions and well alligators kill over three zillion people every year **the more you know**)
this year has just been super busy for all of us with theatre, sports, school, family, friends, etc. etc. etc. and we realized we started off on the wrong foot. i think we all kind of knew at the beginning of this a strict, every day schedule wasn't going to work. so we just stopped, and we're sorry for that. starting today, each of us will just post whenever we feel like it, about whatever is on on our mind, and however long of post we want. that way everything will be genuine and none of us feel forced to post.
we still hope to give inspiration, laughter, positivity, thoughts, ideas, disscussion, entertainment, and love.
you are all GORGEOUS!

Monday, Monday, Monday!!!
So, lets face a fact of life... Monday sucks. In order to make this Monday a bit more fun here is a bit of wisdom from my brain (haha that sounded a bit more clever in my head). Any-who today we're going to talk about making time for you. See, life as a tendency of getting busier and busier so here are 5 ways to unwind when life gets a bit to hectic.
Nap
Binge watch TV
Eat (healthy if at all possible)
Social Media (Instagram, Tumblr, 9gag, etc.)
Find a new hobby (not gonna lie blogging is pretty fun)
Now these are just a few ways I unwind when I'm a wee bit stressed. There are plenty more ways to do so, but the idea remains the same it is very important to take a break from your hectic schedule.

hello lovelies! i apologize for this being late, but it's here none the less! i am going to show you 2 super easy crafts i've made with mason jars.
pencil jar
1. for this you'll need a mason jar, of course; a smaller one will work better, so the tops of your pens and pencils stick out.
2. you'll also need an old newspaper or book, old sheet music would be cool too. i used the intro pages of a dictionary for mine(who knew a dictionary even had intro pages lol). to start, tear your paper into strips, you could also opt to cut them, but i personally like the messy sort of look.
3. next you'e going to cover your mason jar with a thin layer of modge podge (you can also mix water with glue if you don't have modge podge).
4.attach your paper pieces to the jar. again i prefer the messier look, so i placed mine every which way, but you could go for a more uniform placement if you wish.
5. apply another thin layer of modge podge to set the papers! you're now finished!
sea shell jar
1. start with a mason jar, i used a larger one because of the number of seashells i had, so pick a size that will fit your contents.
2. to put my beach please lettering i used some glittery stick on letters i got at michaels. a lot of this is your own personal preference; you could also paint the words on, or leave them off entirely.
3. decorate! again, this is not a set process- be creative and make it the way you like! i used acrylic paint to put sea stars, fish, and coral on my jar.
4. to make it look like the shells are underwater, i drew waves along the top, and colored the bottom of the jar blue. this would probably look really great with a blue tinted jar as well.
5. add your shells! i've collected these from past vacations to the beach. you could also fill your jar with sand, rocks, or anything else that strikes your fancy. enjoy this little jar of summer in your room as it starts to get colder outside!

Tech Tuesday
HI.
I understand that this is supposed to be about technology... but I'm not a huge technology person. So, instead I dedicate this post to the awesomeness technicians have. That is, theater technicians. I am a costume queen myself, but I still give big props (see what I did there??) to the people who actually do the hard work. Not that acting or costuming isn't hard, but I know that I can't be trusted with a hammer. Technicians make the world go 'round. So, if you see a tech person, show appreciation. Give them cookies, or a hug, or some glitter. If you are a technician yourself, pat yourself on the back and go eat some cake. You deserve it!

Who saw the Supernatural premier last night?! I did, and I may be slightly emotionally wrecked. Or maybe that's because I'm procrastinating even though I have a TON of school work to do... we'll never know....
Anyway, in an effort to cheer everyone up, I shall bestow upon you pictures of the Winchesters (and Cas) before everything kinda blew up in their faces. You're welcome. I'll also throw a little Sherlock in there because it's been TOO LONG. And Doctor Who- to make it a trifecta. And Harry Potter, cus why not??

My Muddle Monday
For those of you that don't know muddle means confused or disorganized, and yes that word perfectly describes my morning. For starters it was a late start Monday at school and they way that works is that everything starts a hour and a half late. So instead of the bus coming at 7:30 it comes at 9, and instead of school starting at 8:16 it starts at 9:46. See, I'm usually pretty good about keeping track about that kind of stuff, but for some reason this morning my brain decided to take the day off. I woke up around 8 and got ready (on time mind you) but then decided that the bus comes at 9:30 when class starts at 9:46 (#genius). So, I leave for the bus stop at 9:30 and when I got there nobody else was there. Curious I text Gianni and ask if the bus has come yet and to my disdain she said yes. Now this is the point where my morning took a turn for the stupid, I run back home and tell my mom I missed the bus so she grabs her keys and gets we get in the car (by now its like 9:35 school starts in 10 minutes). Not realizing that class starts in 10 minutes I get my mom to stop at QT to get some tea (#mistake). By the time I walked into school the bell for class to start rang and I had the tiny epiphany that I was a total idiot. So I ended up walking into class 5 minutes late all out of breath from sprinting up the stairs....
Moral of the story always check your times (like when something starts or when you're supposed to be somewhere) because lord knows if I'd bothered to check what time my bus came on late start Mondays I would have avoided this whole conundrum.
Hope this helps you never be that one kid who walks into class 5 minutes late because they forgot when class started haha.
