“I am so busy. I am practicing my new hobby of watching me become someone else. There is so much violence in reconstruction. Every minute is grisly, but I have to participate. I am building what I cannot break.”
— Jennifer Willoughby, from “The Sun is Still a Part of Me” in Beautiful Zero (via icedcoffeegirl)
if walter white was the scientist from honey i shrunk the kids he would be like “i did not shrink our children skyler. i did not. walter junior was always this size, we named him that because he is so small”
why is this comment on an apple crisp recipe me every single day at work
very cool how the gender binary in the emerging trad terf synthesis is like, there are two genders, the one that does bad things and the one that bad things are done to. the only thing in the world is immorality and it flows from unexperiencing agents to unacting experiencers.
which naturally appeals to people who would like to be perceived as inherently lacking the capacity for immorality. for whatever reason
anyway remember bell hooks’s very cogent critique of second-wave feminist organizing in ‘sisterhood: solidarity between women’ where she argues that by “bonding as ‘victims’, white women’s liberationists were not required to assume responsibility for confronting the complexity of their own experience … Identifying as ‘victims’, they could abdicate responsibility for their role in the maintenance and perpetuation of sexism, racism, and classism.” it’s not by accident that terf gender essentialism dovetails so much with other biological-determinist & essentialist assumptions including Extremely Racist Ones

so I was listening to music and got this message… at first I assumed that my boyfriend sent the wrong person a message asking for toilet paper, but when i got up to bring him some i saw his phone on the bed and realized
he left his phone in the room and only took his switch with him, so all he could do was desperately tweet an SOS
i had to adapt to fucking survive
Guardians of life: The indigenous women fighting oil exploitation in the Amazon
Felipe Jacome’s set of photos Amazon: Guardians of Life documents the struggles of indigenous women defending the Ecuadoran Amazon through portraits combined with the powerful written testimonies. The words across each photograph are a self-reflection of the lives of women, their culture, history and traditions, and especially about the reasons for fighting oil drilling on their ancestral lands. The color designs framing each portrait use the same natural dyes found in face paint to expand on the symbols and designs that reflect their personalities, courage and struggle. (Read More)

why does every fanfic with y/n have to be about romance. maybe i just want to be coworkers at taco bell with dio. take an accounting class with kakashi. these men are not dateable but could provide entertainment value in other facets of life
"Y/N.... do you want to gaslight our manager by drinking all the baja blast out of the fountain while I, DIO, stop time, so they think they didn't refill it"
ppl who limit their reading experience to Fanfics and YA novels don’t wanna read literature they wanna consume tropes but let me mind my business
Op look me dead in the eyes and tell me romeo and juliet isnt just forbidden love enemies to lovers angst
Actually it's a tragic drama with themes about the conflict of the individual will and social customs, and reducing it to a flat two-dimensional analysis of tropes you read on ao3 is boring and would get you kicked out of a 9th grade English class, but I can see where the confusion would lie
