my wife, best friend, mother-in-law, and mother-in-law's friends (all from California) have visited and/or migrated here, and have said universally the food is generally better over here - better made, better quality, just fresher and tastier in general. they even agree we're onto something with beans on toast. (and i'm not being a hater here on American food either, i've tried a ton of southern food whilst visiting. biscuits and gravy? i'll INHALE a plate of those, i REALLY enjoy it). but funnily enough when i bring that experience up to folk who haven't visited, everyone gets quiet 👀

Aye, food quality is a different beast. Although very keen to try some southern food, particular proper collard greens. We don't really have an equivalent here, and every video I see of people showing off their cookout food makes me want to dive in.

i know if your parents are from different countries you can inherit either nationality or both but wouldn't it be more fun if they drew a line between the spot one parent was born and the spot the other parent was born and you got the nationality of wherever the midpoint of that line is? just a thought to spice things up. like if you have one algerian parent and one egyptian parent then you get libyan nationality. it's awesome too because many people would get ocean nationality.
