i've been making a real effort to socialize and go out more and say yes to invitations. it's had a net positive on my life, but the interesting and sad thing is i don't really feel like my anxiety around doing this has gotten any better. like i never regret going to something (regardless if i have a good time or not) but all of the physical symptoms of anxiety are still present beforehand like feeling sick and wanting to cancel.....i guess i was just hoping to become desensitized to the feeling after so much exposure. it's still a win to go out more and make friends but it's just disappointing idk.
