okay buckle up i've got a theory for you all:

so taylor sinclair, aka big bunny, says "flaming rabbits!" to which henrick notes, the repressed?

so, in case you didn't know, flaming is often used as a term to refer to gay men. and repressed is often used to describe closeted or in-denial gay people. and sinclair's nickname at this time is big bunny. so he could be referring to himself. the "flaming bunny rabbits" he's freaking out about could in fact be a representation of his denial, or even his fear that he won't be able to hide that he's gay forever.

Hey, can we talk about something for a moment?

So I was admiring this image right here for HeR's beautiful designs and tiny details and all the love they put into Nancy's childhood bedroom in SPY:

When I realized, hold on, I've see that car and house before somewhere else:

I always thought it was hilarious that HeR would keep CLK in the setting of the 1930's, and everyone in the game all pretty much straight up acknowledges that Nancy's basically gone back in time for this. I know HeR was probably thinking itd be a cute tribute to the classic 1930s book, and modeling Nancy's dollhouse after the Lilac Inn is probably supposed to be a little "easter egg," but, hear me out.

The Secret of the Old Clock was Nancy's first mystery in the books. But what if it was Nancy's "first mystery" in the games as well? Because she made it all up when she was a child????

What if, the entire game of CLK is just baby Nancy's imagination as she pretends to be an 18-year-old girl off to solve a mystery in her little blue roadster?
