I personally prefer the tree Simon idea because it has this bittersweetness to it yknow? He becomes something beautiful and bigger than himself.

Simon being tactile / self-soothing

most noticably, his repetitive circling motion with his thumb over his empty knife holster (which he often touches for reassurance in a kind of muscle-memory reaching for a weapon that isn't there)

then his light tracing of the map, brushing his fingers over it to situate himself, and just the delicate way he handles everything in general, like he's trying hard not to damage anything (he's very physical/visual, he also uses his hands when gesturing directions)

when he finds the Eden pendant he ties it around his wrist to keep it secure, but he also holds it enclosed in his palm. he keeps it tight in his fist under his thumb. part reverence part anchor to home

and when he's stressed he makes fists and fidgets with his hands / the pendant. he also bows his head to it in his hand like he's praying or hoping it'll bring him luck like a talisman

Being burnt out from digital art won’t stop me from making more Iron Lung fan art…

Here’s my little drawing related to my theory that the sons of Eden are soil for their specific sprouts! You get your bracelet knowing full well that your death is to support its life I have like hundreds of other little ideas and concepts swimming around in my head I’m sure I’ll do drawings/doodles of eventually as well-

Honestly though, comments like that are gold to me. I love to write and a comment telling me that something I’ve done has improved someone’s life even in a small way? That’s impact. We live in societies that tell us over and over we have no value and nothing we do is ever good enough. So for someone to post a comment telling us that we improved their lives with our stories? That tells us our effort had value. We writers set out to improve the world in tiny ways, offering random acts of kindness in the form of a few minutes’ entertainment, and comments tell us we’ve achieved that little goal.
