Just want to take a moment to highlight how well Caitlin played defense during these big play moments last night. I think the challenge on the foul call was a good one to make. I thought it was clean defense and if it was anyone other than A’ja, she might’ve gotten that call reversed. The only argument I’d make is the left hand on the hip but people do that to her all game every game and rarely does she get the foul call. (Which just highlights the lack of consistent refereeing) I agree with Candace Parker- a lot of contact was initiated by A’ja and Caitlin took it on the damn chin.

Another defensive moment not shown in this clip was her steal off a pass to A’ja that got her a runaway layup. I just wanted to mention this because even though offensively she was off a lot of last night, she’s still able to positively impact the game in other ways.
