Two of my friends died

I was diagnosed with a genetic connective tissue disorder that means I will be in severe pain for the rest of my life as well as several other diagnosis that went along with it

I had to have surgery for these issues which didn’t end up helping but sure did put me in debt

Hurricane Helene caused me to lose a huge part of my home, some more of my friends, and some family

The area I grew up in was so impacted it is still unrecognizable

My career started taking off in a way I’ve been working towards for a decade but I was too physically ill to actually seize the opportunity and now it’s gone

This is a list of all the stuff that happened last year that made it take so long to update the fic that I write for FREE. I doubt all of that will happen again this year but do me a favor anon and knock on wood for me okay

I appreciate u anon/anons,, here’s the thing, while I do make fandom stuff, I am also a professional artist. Like as a job, that’s what I do. I’m in my 30s now with a family and I just don’t have the time or will to muck about with things that don’t bring me absolute joy yknow? So it’s not so much about it bothering me, it’s just,, bringing down my vibe?

I’m here for fun and if it’s not fun, I’m not here, ya feel? They can be “morally superior” all they want, but it doesn’t change how I like to write or make me feel bad about it.

I could go to other social media (and am on other social media for my other interests) but the og tsc fandom is here. There’s great people in this fandom who I consider friends and they ain’t leaving tumblr cause they’ve been here like 15 years lol (same)

As for a side blog,, for what? I’m barely on this one and it’s for everything lol weirdos will find me no matter where I post tbh

I’ve definitely thought of patreon before, but that’s just not the career path I want to take my art yet, at least not for fandom content,, maybe someday for my original work tho

how did you get into story telling and writing?

I’ve always loved making up stories since I was a kid! I started by telling friends little horror stories I made up to get us in the mood before playing hide and seek in the dark lol

When I got older, I was lucky enough to have teachers who would let me really explore my story ideas and themes in creative writing classes. And now as an adult I have a huge appreciation for the art of storytelling itself. I love studying the different formulas for good storytelling and what makes them effective or not

how often do you post chapters to ur ao3 jolly old Saint Bernard fanfic?

Woops I missed these in my inbox, sorry!!

I can’t really say how often I update cause it’s not consistent,, at first I posted every 3-4 weeks but then I went on a hiatus for close to a year. I updated recently but don’t have anything new edited good enough for posting any time soon. However when I do edit/write, I tend to do it in clusters of 5-6 chapters so I have a cache to use up for awhile.

I’m hopeful to post another chapter within the next couple months, but irl is so busy rn i just can’t promise anything,,

Why does Cain wear different clothes from the rest of his family?

From a very young age, Cain showed typical angelic aversion to animal products. He doesn’t eat meat and can’t wear clothes made from animal fur or skin! Hence him eventually becoming a farmer and artisan. As a toddler, he developed a horribly painful rash that threatened his life. Luckily Gosh sent his uncle Michael to provide some clothes and healing for the boy.  Extra note: Michael was fully aware of what Cain was, but he told Eve and Adam to just ignore his differences, saying he was simply a ‘special child blessed by heaven’ to explain his abilities. Heaven didn't want to further encourage rebellion from Eve by reminding her of her ex lover. But of course, some things about Cain (specifically his ability to bend and influence light) would always make her think of Lucifer.

Imma be so honest with you anon,, I was forced to put it on hold because I needed to work on paid projects for most of this year, but also I had some really bad experiences with a few people in the fandom that soured things for me for a long while,,

HOWEVER I am almost caught up on projects for the year, and the time away has been great for helping me get some distance from everything. So while I still can’t promise anything concrete just yet, I will say that my docs are open, I’ve been editing in my free time since Halloween, and I’m very very eager to have something new out before Christmas,, so we’ll see!!

introducing probably the most self indulgent thing I've ever made....but YEAH it's christmas timmee it is socially acceptable to talk about the santa clause!!!! 😍😍 my sona could probably fit into the santa clause universe so I left her design pretty much the same,,

in universe she is a reindeer faun that's basically the north pole's messenger and supplier, so for example she delivers less urgent messages from the other legendary figures to santa and also brings things like lumber from the woods so the elves can make toys! (the wobbly woods, for those who had the misfortune of watching the show lol)

she used to reside in the woods before being commended by bernard for her hard work and got upgraded to a suite in the north pole, sometimes working closely with him. they bonded over things like complaining about work and delicious hot cocoa, and end up developing a not so secret relationship hehe 💜

but yeah if u read this whole thing haiii I have been playing with the lore since like 2019 and finally got brave enough to post it kgksjffk

I just love them smmm I struggle a lot with teetering in the middle of being aro/ace so creating this ship has given me so much comfort over the years and I hope u all like them as well 🥺❤️💚❤️💚
