Hello! This is our system blog.

We’re the Gold Star System, named after a gold star a student may get for participating. We seem to be participating, whether we’re doing it well or even are legitimate as a system is up to time to tell. I certainly don’t know, the others do, they’re very sure of this, but I could also just be making this up! Anyways!

Our collective pronouns are they/them!

Please don’t bring system discourse onto our page, we don’t know enough about this stuff to have a definitive answer.

Understand that we are still figuring things out. If we end up not being a system, then that’s fine (having to repeat that to myself in the mirror a million times), but regardless we’re just trying to figure out our brain.

We’re not currently in therapy, and cannot pursue a specialist due to a couple different reasons. This blog is entirely just us spilling out our thoughts and such (As such we do not know what disorder we have. I really don’t think it’s DID, but we can’t say without a doubt it’s OSDD or something else. Again, we may not be a system at all).

A good amount of us are underage or otherwise young, and we do not want any romantic or sexual interactions, we will not hesitate to block and report you if you become a hazard to us.

Please don’t mention this blog or our posts on our main, I don’t know if you can see what our main blog is, but if you can, please leave us be.

We’re still learning up on stuff like OSDD so if you talk with us about system community stuff, especially in a familiar way, we will more than likely be bewildered. Please be patient.

I’d probably draw myself smoking, just cus I think it looks cool and edgy sometimes but also I can only imagine how nice the occasional Pavlovian dopamine rush would feel from time to time. Unfortunately I have 9 other people who all hate smoking for a variety of reasons and will scold me if I even draw one line with the intention of that being the end product, and I can’t exactly blame them 💀😭

To people who make system or plural related comics like ours, why do you make them? I’m very curious!

With us it’s because we like sharing our experiences with people similar to us because it helps US feel less alone in all of this, while also wanting others to feel seen. But even along with that, we make them for ourselves! We all love comics and they’re a good warmup practice and helpful for us to process things

I’ve seen a handful of system comic blogs pop up with an intro post and go “I don’t have comic ideas yet so send us asks” and it leaves me confused.. why make a comic blog if you don’t have comic ideas! Or if you don’t even like making comics!

This blog is by and large a way of me actually confronting all of this despite my incessant flip flopping on our plurality. We’ve made art about our experiences since about November of last year, but only really started posting it… well, when the first comic we posted was posted! The others thought it would be an opportunity for the world to see them, finally, and they encouraged me because of the sheer amount of anxiety I have around whether we’re plural or not.

Also I just need to post art more so I may as well make a blog for our plural art.

Hanahaki disease is a psychosomatic illness. It's a thing that your body does in response to stress over constantly repressing/concealing your feelings in settings with high background magic. It's like you've been ignoring pain for a long time and suddenly your vision starts going dark, because your affected body is just YANKING on random alerts trying to get you to PAY ATTENTION there is a PROBLEM. Yes the flowers do really exist. So do non-magical psychosomatic symptoms. The flowers aren't special.

This does of course open up the trope to options for non-romantic concealed feelings. Which I think is great. There is something viscerally satisfying about the person who seems so outwardly chipper coughing and hacking and spitting up Depression Flowers so now everyone has to know they're hurting. Isn't there?

Yellow: Likes our sex

Green: Dislikes our sex

Cyan: Dislikes our boobs, little to no feelings towards bottom genitalia. Would prefer no genitalia at all

Blue: Would prefer almost no genitalia at all. Sometimes likes our boobs, but more so as a fashion accessory or silhouette than anything else.
