Happy Audio Drama Sunday! You're indescribable. Writers spend their lives trying to do you justice, conjure you from every angle, and you're always more than they can capture.
@desertskiespodcast Chapter 24 - Caves and Cacti: Yet again, Desert Skies has brought me to tears. The discussion of identity, purpose, and uniqueness resonated with me so much. Then the absolute love and appreciation shown for those in our lives who are game masters, who read the rules, set the tables, serve the snacks, build the stories, and bring people together...it was so beautiful. Also the gang immediately getting into roadtrip shenanigans was hilarious. 🌵
@hexpresshotline Episodes 1-5: This is such a fun show! People call a hotline to request hexes to be put on their partners or exes. The members of the Hexpress Hotline, Circe, Delilah, and Brendan, are messes and it's so entertaining. The hexes are wild, and so are the costs. It sounds like there's some backstory to uncover about Circe, and about the new employee, Rose. Also, can't forget to mention the cat, The Baron! ☎️
@storiesfromylelmore Episode 307 - Summer Play: Having been in a couple of community little theatre productions (and who among us listening to audio dramas hasn't), the absolute chaos of this episode was so real. The up-charging and guilting of parents, the script, the wrangling of small children... incredible. Then Kreyth having to act as a friend to Voran's character? Hilarious. But then there was the question of whether Voran might actually want to apologize to Keryth. And Elas kinda standing up for themself and saying they had important things to do with Rion and Keryth. The magical tunnel in the basement was so cool, though I can imagine so difficult to sound design! Kreyth getting flowers from her moms (to use for enchantments!) was so sweet. 🎒
@theatticmonologues Season 1: I've finally started The Attic Monologues, after so many recommendations and also mentions in Leon Egans book, Listen Closely. I'm so intrigued and have so many questions about the world and these monologues. They are so unsettling, especially with the addition of the letters from the Author and the post-credit scenes we've been hearing as listeners. These extra little tidbits have had me so concerned for Nyx, and after that season finale, leave me with so many questions for Bella. I can't wait to find out more. 📜
@re-dracula Week 27: It was the final week of the story of Dracula! The hunters all endured many challenges, including Van Helsing's destruction of the vampiresses, before the final confrontation in the snow. Their success pulled from the jaws of defeat was not without loss though. The way Quincey Morris was honoured by the Harkers was very sweet, and their son son is surely doted upon by Dr. Van Helsing and the others. The final two songs by Newt Schottelkotte were the perfect closer. Thank you to the whole Re: Dracula team for this incredible podcast (and for putting up with my tagging them for 27 weeks)! 🦇
