Week one of the 21 Day Fix = Done
I can’t remember the last time my abs were this sore, and I love it. 21DF is no joke. It seems easy at first but boy do you feel it the next day.
I love that this program is only 3 weeks. Yes, I’m sore, and yes, I want a rest day, but it’s only 2 more weeks! I love all the beachbody programs I’ve tried, but this one is so great for getting back in a routine because it’s only 3 weeks. Definitely going to try another program when I’m done, but I love how I’m feeling right now.
I wished this post had serving sizes so I looked them up! Some of the numbers were slightly wrong in the photo too. Here’s protein content per serving size:
1 cup quinoa = 8g protein
1 cup peas = 8g protein
2 tbsp peanut butter = 8g protein
1 cup chopped kale = 3g protein
½ cup chick peas = 20g protein
½ cup tofu = 10g protein
5 tbsp beans = 15g protein
1 cup chopped broccoli = 3g protein
3 tbsp hemp = 10g protein

You know, today I feel okay. Today I feel okay eating that grilled cheese that I love. Today I feel okay wearing a tight tank top. Today I feel okay that my belly isn’t flat. And for me, that’s a win. And that’s all that matters.

I decided to go super crazy and splurge on Beachbody On Demand. I read some mixed reviews, but am participating in a challenge over the next month (21 day fix) and decided to go ahead and get the year subscription instead of just the one program.
Can we just talk about how great T25 is? I have a few friends doing it. I only did the cardio session today, but even with having to skip like 4 of the moves (even the modification was too rough with my knee issues), and doing mostly modified for the jumps, I burned just over 200 cal. (According to my Garmin with hr strap that is usually very accurate).
I can’t imagine what it’s like doing the full workout at max.
You know, I’m finding all this post-inauguration anger to be really great motivation to workout. Gotta send it somewhere!
Latest fave: stair climber. Hurts like hell, but such good payoff.
I’ve been hovering around 185 for a couple weeks, so I’m working to make this the week I hit 184. Last time I saw that number was 3 years ago!

I’ve never put together a face comparison before, but tonight decided to look back at some old photos. The left was 2010, 2 years before I started getting serious. It was one of my favorite photos of myself back then. The right is this past new years. A nice reminder of how far I’ve come, even if I still have further to go!
