my grandfather is a residential school survivor. he literally has a BRAND of a number on his shoulder. he was a 6 year old child who was branded like a cow. he was given a new last name (he doesn’t even know his real last name) and was essentially brain washed into being white. the man, a full oglala lakota, doesn’t even call himself native anymore because he was beaten into being ashamed of it.

Fun Vampire Fact; the reason that Vampires traditionally cannot see their reflections in a mirror is because mirrors used to be backed with a reflective layer of silver — which, as the metal of purity, would not ‘interact’ with Vampires, who are the Devil’s work.

However, modern mirrors have used aluminum as their reflective backing for many years now — and aluminum is not a ‘picky’ metal at all. So Vampires are able to see their reflections in modern mirrors.

I saw the original post on Reddit. That’s all 4 years worth of homework (they save it up for this tradition) and the underclass men clean it up (3 years of cleaning it up earns you the right to do it your senior year). The janitorial staff are there to hand out trash bags, but that’s it.

I actually have a lot of heterosexual friends. I suspect my brother might be hetero. And I really don’t have a problem with it. Just like. The hetero ppl I know aren’t all like. Flamboyant about it, ya feel? Like, they aren’t like wearing cargo shorts and watching CBS and shit. I always think it’s kinda tacky when you can tell someone is hetero just by looking at them. :/ Like. Don’t you even care that you’re basically a walking stereotype? It’s just hard to take ppl seriously when they act like that.
