Movie night's over. First time hosting a watch party with friends cause they wanted me to pick the movie this time. Just glad that they liked the movie... and Astrid too.

This scene had left a mark in me ever since I saw the film. So just a gentle reminder to never dim your light for anyone. Never try to fit yourself into someone else's mold. As long as you are not stepping on anyone else's liberty, just be yourself. Radiate love always and let them fall in love with the overflow. :)

My heart is still bursting with joy now that he's completed his baptismal ceremony. Proud of how he remained steadfast on his decision to embrace our faith— and now we're walking this path in God's light together.

Last weekend was a blast. Saturday was a full day for the both of us and Sunday was a day out with his fam. Not that it matters but I wanted to remember last weekend so here's an unnecessary timeline of events for me to remember by:

We started by attending an early Saturday morning worship service at our respective locales.

Drove off to meet him around 10AM to go and get a quick brunch to pump us up for the activities. I brought him pancit that I cooked the night before.

We went straight to his baptism which was scheduled at 2PM but had an early call time of 12PM.

Completed the baptismal program by 4PM.

Got to Glorietta by 5PM to have dinner date and run some errands.

Started driving to Gentri by 9PM.

Arrived at 10PM and had a quick catch up with his parents.

Called it a night at 12:30AM.

Woke up at 7am Sunday morning.

Home-made meals by his mom for breakfast at 8AM.

Arrived at his cousin's party by 10:30AM. Met some more members of his family from his mom's side.

Returned back to Gentri by 4PM.

Went to Wendy's around 6PM with his family to get dinner and have our frosty fix. We even brought Snow along with us! 🐕

We drove back to Sta. Rosa by 8PM so he can also catch the night bus.

I made it home by 9PM.

He made it home by 10:30PM.

Truly a memory we will forever cherish.x

We may not be celebrating heart's day but we will always have an excuse to celebrate it cause his birthday is a day before it.

I have never attempted to volunteer cooking pancit or ginataan dishes at home because I'm not a fan of it but I started learning how to make them because he loves it. And thankfully I have a very appreciative partner because he loves everything that I make for him. I have always been afraid of making shanghai because I don't know the portions and I've never trusted recipes from family and friends cause I just haven't tasted a good one. I, however, like this little experiment of mine and glad to know that he likes this recipe the most out of all that he's tasted. The fried chicken, I have already mastered but the maja blanca I haven't yet. Best bet I was so skeptical to make it but it was a hit even with my family.

Does this fall under acts of service or gift giving cause I badly want to prepare something for him for his birthday?

Anyway, I'm just so happy I have this very patient, kind, and loving man. From all the trips he has to go through just to spend time with me, the food he prepares, the kindness and understanding he gives me, for always trying, and for never leaving. He deserves all the good things in life.

From last year's dive at Pagkilatan before I took a break.x

I'm finally addressing this once and for all. I took a break to finish some personal matters and because I thought that I wi be leaving already last year. I didn't say yes to any plans or invites to go diving because I can't.

Now that I can, I'm going all out, I am slowly catching up with the things that I enjoyed doing before. I've leaped through so much that I am finally slowing down again and acknowledging that good things take time.

My lungs and fins have been resting for too long. It's time for my mind to calm down from all of last year's chaos and start being at peace again.

Gahd, I miss diving.x

After visiting my relatives(father's side) in Aklan, we then rendezvoused to Boracay. What started as a series of festivities for Ati-Atihan ended up with a day of relaxation on the island. The boyfie's family was also having a vacation in Bora so we met up with them during dinner time. We even had a massage before catching our flight back to Manila.

Such a short but sweet trip with all the "sadsad", seafood feasts, and side quests throughout the period that we were in Visayas.

Went out with the fam and indulged ourselves with some dose of umami. We got 400g of A5 Wagyu teppanyaki style. I still dream of those bite-sized goodness. We also got a few more stuff that we ended up laughing when we got the bill because we almost reached 3x of our allocated budget for it.

Long story short we just enjoyed our little celebratory lunch and went back home just in time before the skies went gray.

Will come back for sure!

Called in sick yesterday as I wasn't feeling well because of the inclement weather but these roses from the boyfie cheered me up.

Productive and steady August —my wfh setup, early mcdo run, holiday project is a rehaul of our living room, korean food night.x

Been staying home a lot or even staying at some remote place I can unwind and chill quietly if I want a change in scenery, and I must say, I've never been more at peace and secured living a slow life. I am more aware now of myself and what I want than how I was before when I prioritize others and thatmy presence is felt in all of my circles and forgetting to recharge my little tired self.

Self-awareness is beautiful.x

Here's a reminder that the person who values and loves you will always make time for you:

It's always been hard for us to schedule time together since we both have different shifts and rest days BUT we make it work. Yes, he is from the north but he always visits me every time he can. During his rest days on weekdays, either 1) we meet outside and find a quiet place that I can work in and he'll just play games beside me or 2) we stay in and he cooks for me. On weekends, 1) we go out and take a stroll and come back to have dinner with the fam 2) or we just let each other rest. We almost never spend rest days apart cause he insists to always spend time together.

I love freediving so he learned it and went diving with me. He likes playing games and so our past time would be to play games together. It's important to have the constant desire to connect and enjoy what each of us likes. Effort.

These past few months have been tough but we're making progress. Always thankful for the motivation despite the challenges and surprises along the way. TQM, lovey.x

A little proof that I am well and alive –And, well, because we've just returned from a quick visit to the City of Smiles.

Finally, had the chance to visit and check out the food scene in Bacolod and Can I just share how delicious their food is. Every sip and bite takes me back home to my mother's warm hug and my father's jolly smile. Sharyn's Cansi, you had me wanting for more soup. The Inasal from Aida's is so juicy and flavorful, I'd probably eat it everyday of I have the chance. The cakes from Calea –sinful.

This will just be a very short one but will probably blabber about the trip more next time. I just really wanted to keep this going.x

A quick trip to the beach for my man's birthday.x

Had a little beach day out to celebrate his birthday and heart's day too. We went with my nephew and brought food as well. I wanna gatekeep this beach for us to savor cause it looks and feels like Boracay.

Took turns driving and I'm just so happy that I can finally be a passenger princess. He's a sleeper but he didn't sleep during this trip even if we got lost and drove longer going to the beach. :) In fact, he took over when I wasn't feeling well on our way home.

The surprise setup and gift was a success but all I know is I won't ever get tired of showing up and making him feel loved. I'm just happy he got to enjoy his birthday this year spending it with me and my family.

Quality time after a long and busy work week. Celebrated this month with a quick trip to Quiapo with the sweetest and tour guide.

Here's a list of what we had in Quiapo:

Pastil in Muslim town that woke up my tastebuds early morning - ₱10 / +₱15 fried egg / + ₱10 chili oil / ₱100 per tub

Dragon Juice that just tasted like sweet milk - ₱50 smallest size

Slurped the famous overload Sotanghon at Rosa's Pancitan. Such a hot and soupy treat - ₱80

Bought a medium sized Sungka at Island Souvenir for ₱250

Devoured a tikoy roll and took home Bibingkang suman - ₱25 / ₱120

Secured Kikiam and scrap ham at Excelente. The Kikiam wa our favorite with chunky pork bits and the scrap ham was best paired with bread and mayonnaise. ₱170 / ₱410 per 250g

Palabok at Jolli Dada for ₱80. But I honestly like Palabok de tisoy's version more.

Last stop at Master Hopia to get freshly made hopia baboy for ₱320

Next time we'll try to get Fresh Lumpia from Global, Inihaw na Daing na pusit, Habhab and Pasulbot.

Went to National Museum of Fine Arts after since he hasn't been there. We also saw Beauty Gonzales (such a beaut!!).

Sulit dates like this are definitely one for the books. We spent less than ₱1K for everything that we ate excluding what we got for take aways and other stuff.

Felt safe the whole time. I guess it really doesn't matter where you spend time together as long as you're spending it with your person.x

BBQ Nights

Year end catch up with the bestie and our lovies 💖 Last night was also the first time the loml and my bestie met in person after several attempts to meet up earlier this year.

Happy to spend time and end the year with these amazing people.

Watched Joji's Pandemonium tour last Tuesday at The Smart Araneta Coliseum with my concert buddy. Got reminded how I stuck with Joji's songs after last year's series of unfortunate events.

I still don't like glimpse of us. I always pitied the person being taken advantage of despite giving everything. x
